Dodgers pen gonna blow it for sure.

i could use an arizona loss, but... sick slide

dodgers just willingly put winning run on base with no outs, i hope they lose

Gonna be extra hilarious if the Mets miss the playoffs considering the schedules of the chasers and they get to play Miami.

Ohtani, 6 IP, 0 ER.

Bullpen 2.2 IP, 5 ER

Was there any doubt they'd blow this game?

All integers from 0 to 66 have been homered in a season. Except for 55: no one has ever hit 55 in a season. Schwarber and Ohtani have a chance to plug that baby in.

Is that a 17 scoreless inning streak for Ohtani now?

Come on and down and yep they're the Mets.
Guaranteed to miss the playoffs.

I love stuff like this.

If Judge gets one more homer this year, he'll have 4 seasons over 50 and won't have any seasons with 40-49 home runs.

In Kershaw's age 27 season, he struck out 301 and it was his 6th straight season of 200+. But he only struck out 200 one more time (202 at age 29) despite managing to go 108-40 with a 2.68 era in his last 10 seasons.

Wow, I had no clue that Soto was doing that with stolen bases this year. Just a little shy of a 40-40 season, and with a very high SB%. Shocked me seeing that a minute ago.

He stole number 36. He needs 4 in the last 5 games to be 40/40

Let's see if he wants this. Players in the past have definitely run more in situations like this.

They sure do. It would be just the Mets luck he gets hurt trying to get the stat while in a playoff push. Hope not.

If one of these teams trying for last wild card could just win out for 4 games they will take it. But they are having a hard time, they are all .500 teams. Prolly too many wild card spots, they just dont have it in them.

I checked out of baseball around June, when it was patently clear the Braves are terrible.

…But is this where I go to LOL Mets?

The run-scoring error I saw on SportsCenter was nice,

But I literally gigglesnorted on the two base wild pitch score from 2nd

If we've been giving MVPs to glamour numbers for years(Jim Carlos, Miggy) why stop now. Cal is the clear boss.

Ha! Ohtani did it ... he plugged in the missing integer: 55.

Mets coming up pretty small with their season on the line. I read that they are 0-69 this year when trailing after 8 innings. That's hard to do.

0-70. LOL Mets.

Lindor basically has three straight 30/30/30 (homer/double/SB) seasons, after earlier in career having three straight 30/40 homer/double seasons. That's a dude. I don't think there are a lot of those triple 30 players in history?? He's still pretty young. He's probably going to become the rare 300/300 HR/SB club member, with an outside shot of being the second ever 400/400 member. He's got a lot going on.

Hope Soto has fun watching the playoffs from his couch.

Im sure it's a very nice couch.

Well? My White Sox won their first game this year and their last game this year. Those 160 in the middle sucked though 😀

But they are showing improvement and weren't horrible post all-star break. They didn't even set a new all time loss record! Next year, yeah that's the ticket!

Now I root for the Brew Crew as they are my NL team and I make a road trip every year to take in a series up there.

Lololol. Thought there was no way a few days ago.

Sweet. It's playoff time.

McMuffin knows.

Imagine having a hall of fame starter that's fully healthy, just went 11-2 with a 3.36 ERA, and saying 'nah, he's not on the wild card roster and he can pitch in the pen if we get past that.". Very strange career ending for Kershaw. Will be interesting to see how his book closes.

Glad the Jays held the division.
