2025 MLB Season Thread
The Tokyo series is March 18-19th, will air on FOX, and is between The Cubs and The Dodgers.

Ohtani is just ridiculous at this point.
lol Mets forever but I think the biggest mercy of the new playoff system here is that reds fans don’t have to waste money to go a playoff game thinking they have a shot in hell in amounting to anything
lol Mets, lol Uncle Steve, lol keeping Mendoza as manager (I like the guy but come on, your team shouldn't collapse like that...)
I like the Tigers, Pads, and Doyers to round out the night. +467 on Fd.
No one should be surprised if the Yanks lose in the WC or don't make the WS. With the exception of the Mariners, every AL playoff team has owned them this year.
Javy Baez
WORTH. EVERY PENNY.
How is Chapman regarded among all-time relievers? Apart from the brain dead thing. His career stats are scary. This season he kind of made Rivera look like small potatoes.
Kimbrel, Jansen, and Chapman have roughly equal careers at the same age. The 3 best closers of the era. Chapman has the best post season career of the bunch. I'm surprised he never had a 40 save season. Kimbrel had 5 (including a 50) and Jansen had 4. Probably just an opportunity thing. But their ERA and IP and WAR is all about the same.
I would've loved to have seen what he could've done if he had been a starter. His arm has generally always been healthy.
Baserunning lulz. Also buntaments.
What a Cincy thing to do. Have the most optimal point scoring situation possible but not score any points
A masterclass in managing lol.
3 straight nights of Cincy thoroughly embarrassing themselves
Ohtani is Game Genie.
If this isn't evidence that the Mets should feed everyone into a wood chipper and start completely from scratch, I dunno what is.
The Reds' highest paid player is Nick Martinez ($21M) by a wide margin. They don't have another player with an 8-figure AAV. I'd be fine if these poverty franchises were ineligible for postseason play. Like, let's say any team not spending at least $175M can't play playoff baseball. Then at least we wouldn't have to watch this dumb **** unless the LOLMets make it.

Makes it even funnier that he sucked big time today.
Yesterday is gone. Today's parlay is Gaurdians, Red Sox, and Padres.

They did a real thorough investigation and considered all options.
Mendoza has blackmail on Steve Cohen. That’s the only logical explanation.
There’s no way you can keep a manager after the a massive collapse like that.

Tigers implosion incoming...
Want to see Brewers take it all, but the most interesting to me is Brewers vs Phillies, so lets go Phillies, send the dodgers home.
