Everyone is talking about defense and contact and not striking out, and that maybe teams should be reconsidering the current focus on the three true outcomes.
I think it is more complex than that. You can come up with a team plan about approaches at the plate, but you also need guys who can execute. The term pesky keeps coming up for Blue Jays hitters, and it is probably valid. They generally don't strike out much, have great plate discipline, and any of 1 thru 9 can put the ball in play. That plays well against good pitching.
Hope they can keep it up.

Not blaming the catcher but that is a spot where optimally Realmuto should be pointing/yelling making it obvious to go to first. Obviously a split seconds decision but it’s the MLB?
