The JAYS will be world series champions.
"well, they tend to give those jobs to ex-ballplayers and people that are, you know, in broadcasting."
"that’s really not fair."
Wow I just saw a Koufax stat that shocked me. I knew he pitched shutouts in Game 5 and 7 to win the '65 WS. But I was sure that was the end of career. The legend being that effed his elbow and he never pitched again. Darned if he didn't pitch one more year, a monster year, but got swept in the WS by the Orioles. Then he was finished, age 30. In that series the Dodgers got shuto
Thus making Koufax -- not the obvious guess Gehrig (for whom the 5 year wait period was waived) -- the youngest player inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame.
“What do you think allowed them to get to you so early before you were able to settle in?” Snell was asked.
“I mean, they didn’t really get to me,” Snell replied. “First pitch of the game, 97 (MPH) fastball up and in, he hits it 98, it goes out. Pretty unlucky. And then Vlad, that’s a, yeah, just a bad pitch … but then after that, yeah, pretty smooth sailing.”
Unlucky hahaha
This guy is the most gutless pussy I've ever seen for a good pitcher. Zero heart and a blessed arm.

I’m sure he’ll make an excellent baseball announcer.
Almost as good as Smoltz.
I am thinking that Scherzer will have a very short leash and then some Bassitt/Lauer/Varland/Fluharty mix.
Bieber will also be on 3 days rest by then and could presumably have an inning or 2 of potential.
Game 7 is scary. I think the blue Jays have 5 starters I'd rather have out there than Scherzer right now. His recent numbers are worse than all the other starters on the roster.
Btw, the Japan series concluded yesterday. Here is a 27 minute version of the game, some interesting stuff there, different camera angles, eephus pitches, etc.

Way back when it looked like Scherzer was going to have a spot ahead of Lauer (and then Bassitt as well, when he was healthy) I worried that this was a move based on Scherzer's life's work rather than his current performance.
If I had to rank starters right now it would be Yesavage, Gausman, Bieber, Bassitt, Lauer, Scherzer... But, it is the playoffs and if Scherzer is pumped and ready then we know that Schneider is putting him in. But he better have Bassitt /Lauer waiting.
His rationale will be Bassitt and Lauer are more used to coming in from the bullpen. True of lauer but only true of Bassitt because Schneider put him there..lol
Am hoping obv there is no game 7.
EDIT. I don;t think (imo) that Bieber is a good choice in relief. He doesn't overpower anyone and he has not been as sharp as Bassitt...
Ohtani mashed Scherzer last time out. Starting Scherzer is honestly insane. Scherzers numbers this year or in any recent year don't warrant him such a big start.
Bassett and Lauer have been lights out vs the Dodgers this series.

I don't trust Scherzer, but I wouldn't trust Bassitt or Lauer, either, both of whom have well-established track records of mediocrity. "X pitcher has been good against Y team recently" doesn't mean anything to me. The sample size is way too small. It's uncommon for an individual hitter to have enough ABs against a pitcher over his career, and extreme enough results in those ABs, for head-to-head to have any predictive value.
Game 6

get ****ing hype
Let's go!!!!
I did the Carnivore thing and went to the casino😃.
I am concerned they will be nervous and make mistakes and dodgers capitalize.
Later tonight, I'm gonna take a dump, and I'm going to imagine it's all over the city of LA.
**** your pussy ass American city.
TORONTO
A city where you can whip your dick out in freedom.
That Netflix doc made me mad that the Expos left, and I'm not even Canadian

I <3 Oh Canada
Here we go! 😀
Pitcher's duel incoming
Wooooo strikes em all out.
Lol Doyers
Healthy Yamamoto is a pleasure to watch. He isn't as talented as Pedro or prime Yu Darvish, but he is similar in the sense that it feels like he throws 10 different pitches and can make a baseball do whatever he wants.
damn, 27 ks no longer in play
