English Football Season 2025-2026. Here we go again.
Welcome 2+2 to the English football season of 2025-2026.
This year I am going to make the thread officially for all of E
Ok I was giving him the benefit of the doubt but this is a sub-David Weir appointment at this stage. Sack him
Chris Wilder may be a ****, but firing him for this seems suboptimal even for the untrained eye.
Sweet hit from Zubi.
I was so wrong about Madueke. Why didn’t Chelsea fans tell us more about this guy? He can PLAY.
And Madueke has been cooking obv.
This Mosquera guy is pretty decent. Nice pickup
Same could be said for Madueke. Let him cook.
Deserved standing ovation.
Okay Zubimendi was decent too.
Arsenal definitely team to beat this season so far
That said even though the LOL Utd is real currently, also feels a bit fraudulent. They've had sooooooooo many more shots than any other team at some point it feels results should fix themselves.
So far doesn't mean much when we haven't seen Isak yet. I'm sceptical that the PL champions spending £450M isn't going to win them another title.
Today was impressive though against a lacklustre Forest and the new squad depth is incredible.
idk if villa will ever score again (yes watkins+rogers in my fpl so im mad), wtf has happened there.
tbf think palace took 7 or 8 games before scoring one season, the one where hodgson came in and saved them.
That seemed a bit harsh at the disallowed goal. Wasn't much in it imo
Spurs getting jobbed by the ref hard here

It saddens me to saw despite the results united have looked mostly fine/okay this season. Kind of fancy them to get something tomorrow with how injured city are and I think united pose a stylistic problem for city if rodri isn't fully fit.
Numbers like city tho so gonna sit it out from a betting perspective.
[Fake neutral hat on]
If Spurs goal is disallowed how is that not a West Ham penalty for push on KWP?
That tackle resembled days of old
The sock tear makes it look way worse than it was but still well high
Romero 80 yard assist lol
I am happy that the West Ham fans got to cheer their ex player for getting tackled or misplacing a pass. Hope that has made their day.
Nice, we grew into the game even before the sending off though West Ham looked dangerous on the counter.
Andy Irving looks like he would glass you in the pub if you accidentally glanced at his missus

While repeating is always difficult given the mindset players have to remain in to accomplish it, Pool brought in a ton of new blood and extremely talented new blood at that. I feel like what Slot does best in his coaching is having his team get better each week and then just clamp down the opposition and get results without having to get out of 2nd gear. Or at least that’s how it felt from my perspective last season.
Arsenal did add a ton more depth and talent this summer than they’ve had in a while. So, I’d also imagine that Pool will be pushed a lot more by Arsenal this year
That was some own goal scored by the Dirty Leeds player in the 94th minute yesterday.
Not looking forward to this afternoon at all.
I mean the thing with Liverpool is they had a lot of really good players out the door.
They are short on defensive(esp cb) and midfield depth. I'm not convinced they are better than last year's team though isak could change that.
Their performances have been pretty mediocre so far this year and they'll need to fix that fast. Nice to bank some results they didn't really deserve but that won't last for long if they don't start playing better. (In before they smush bumley 5-0).
