went from a bottom 10 team to performing top 4 quality for 2.5 seasons. Emery got us outperforming massively. You know when pundits say teams drop off once they win the league. Basically what happaned to us. Were burnt out. Surprised it didnt happen last year like it does to most teams who get champs league, but we was 1 poor performance from reaching CL again.

Add to that the signings is pure bizarre that we cant freshen up the squad to avoid that burnout. Theres some disconnect cause emery just doesnt ever trust signings to play and when they do, they usually look quite ****. Malen guessand elliot garcia maatsen. Like 0 point of these signings given emery will never trust them and just feel like panic buys. onana cant stay fit at all. But apparently he signs off on a load of them so i dont get why he never trusts any of them

Then you got rogers who looks like a championship player this year like where be bought him from, unbelievable how bad hes been. Yet emery wants to play him every minute, makes no sense. Mosquera is a favourite to be at least that, and he only cost £13M. If for some reason he doesn’t quite make it there’s plenty of money in the kitty.
