Inauspicious beginning for Hawaii

One of the big selling points of Kansas -13.5 for me was Jalon Daniels isn't injured yet.

LOL TREE IS BACK

Imagine being walked off by a Japanese kicker who learned how to kick by watching Youtube videos.

Good call. And credit to Leopold, the play calling was much smarter after they opened up a lead.

Kurt Warner's kid did not appear to have inherited his dad's incredible accuracy.

Yeah, dude can ball but every time he drops back it feels like he’s one hit away from limping off. Fresno bringing heat nonstop.

Love that one and have been using it for years too.
If it updated with scores I wouldn't have built the one above. The main reason I built it is there is no place on the web I found that I could filter scores to do something like "show me all the games along with what channel they are on that are in the fourth quarter and within 7 points"

Oh wow. Yeah, that's nice.

Here are the locks of the week (made this parlay on Monday):

Cincinnati +7.5 (-136)
Auburn -2.5 (-108)
Texas ml +100
Clemson -2.5 (-150)
Oregon State -2.5 (-110)
Miami FL ml +114

$20 to win $910.25

Miami ml is the biggest lock. Miami at home with the better QB in the sweltering heat. That is simply not a winnable game for ND. In my olden days that would be an auto $10K bet on the Hurricanes.

I'm a noob at this, but I've been using this one for the past year or two. It was developed by a poster on 2+2, but I apologize for not remembering his username.

That's me.
Thanks for using it.

Oops.
Apologies for not recognizing it. I checked before I posted to try to avoid embarrassing myself, but I have mine set up in a different browser than I use here so it displayed a little differently and I didn't notice that they were the same.

I don't have a read on Donte Moore but not having to play Michigan or Ohio State = they're a virtual lock to make the playoffs. Can't see them finishing worse than 10-2.

Can't wait to watch Nebraska choke tonight.

Also B1G very impressive tonight, showing us all why they deserve 4 spots in the playoffs.

Texas should be the favorite. Ohio State lost too many players and they're starting a white midget at QB who won't be able to see over his offensive linemen. This is probably gonna be the worst Ohio State QB since Steve Bellisari laced em up 24 years ago.

They tried! But good to see they still suck regardless.

Yeah, the talking heads keep repeating the same two things, Arch has never started, and Texas lost a bunch to the NFL.

Well, Arch did start two games last year and played a few plays in all the big ones. Sayin has never started a game and Ohio State lost more starters than Texas did.

Feels a lot like last years game at Michigan and two years ago at Bama. Michigan fans are unlike the Bama and OSU fans in that they seemed to have a bad feeling about the game, where Bama and OSU fans were/are predicting 20+ point beat downs.

With the limited depth on the DL I'm guessing we'll see a lot of side to side plays to wear them out and then pound away when the second string comes in, much like we did at Michigan last year. We also heard how an NFL DC was going to shut down Sark at Michigan and it turned out he didn't. Without Belichick backing him up not sure Patricia has been very good anyplace he's been.

Yeah I don't think they have a B1G ready defensive line which is obviously gonna be a problem. I still believe in Raiola as of now, but yep, they look like you're typical 7-5/8-4 flawed team.

BTW as far as Cincinnati's ill-fated last play: From a macro perspective I agree with their approach. Be aggressive and go for the win and that's what they did. On the Micro side it still looks good to me. They got 1 on 1 coverage against Nebraska's worst DB. I like those odds. Throw up that jump ball and see what happens! Of course the worst happens. The QB obviously didn't put the ball in the right place as it was intercepted but I was also greatly annoyed at Cincinnati's WR not fighting for the ball. Oh well. This is why college football is so beautiful. Great ideas often end horrifically becuz 18-22 kids screw up a lot. Either way it was a great game. Very fun watch.

I would say even in limited time watching Arch, the wow factor is real. With Sayin there has been no "wow factor" scuttlebutt in Spring or Fall practice the last 2 years. The talk this year has mostly been "It's a close race, I can't tell who's gonna win the job". Reading between the lines, this guy ain't it.

All I've heard about Texas this year is, yes they're great but they lost a lot from the offensive line. 4 out of 5 I think. BTW I think that's gonna be the general trend going forward in this new revenue sharing/transfer portal era. Teams are not gonna be super loaded. Everybody will have key question marks to deal with. To the extent that Texas does have OL issues I'm very skeptical that Ohio State has the DL to exploit it. So I'm not worried on that front.

BTW I still can't believe Ohio State hired Patricia. That's gonna go down as one of the worst hires in OSU history. Imagine some fantasy world where Michigan fans could choose Ohio State's DC, but it had to be serious, like you can't hire me or something stupid like that. IOW People still had to believe Ohio State actually made the hire. Patricia is probably exactly who we would've hired for them. That's probably the worst guy we could choose without being ridiculous and revealing what's going on. But I could see many Michigan fans NOT going that route fearing that Ohio State fans would figure it out becuz NOBODY is dumb enough to hire THAT guy.

There's also no good reason to have a lot of faith in Hartline as OC. Yes he's an amazing recruiter, but he's still basically an unproven OC. I mean he was the OC in 2023 but then lost his job to Chip Kelly. There's simply no reason to believe he's anything special or even above average. I've been watching Ohio State since 1988 and I gotta say this has to be their worst coordinator combo I have ever seen from them. Out of all the teams in true contention for the national title Ohio State has gotta have the worst coaching staff by a mile.

I don't wanna talk about Michigan-Texas last year. Lambs to the slaughter! All I can say is you guys caught us at the right time and I believe you're catching Ohio State at the right time.

PS: If you guys get to the 1 yard line plz do not pitch the ball 8 yards backwards. Thank you.

If anything the Michigan-Texas game showed that it takes time for NFL DCs to adjust to college. Which is a big reason why Sark ought to be able to take Patricia to the woodshed ... I mean aside from the fact that Fatricia ****ing sucks. Great athletes, which the Buckeyes have in spades, can only cover so much for a moron.
