Also Caitlin had a real sweet move on Alisha Gray. She takes the ball up court, dribbles behind her back, steps back couple feet outside the 3 point line, nothin but net 3!

Her basketball iq and court vision is crazy good as well!

.

Lol! Sorry it's Caitlin season and all eyes are on her!

I can take a break when they get a break. But they got a primetime game on national television tomorrow against the New York Liberty so i'm gonna keep talking about her tomorrow as well.

If they played 1 on 1 KM would beat CC the clear majority of the time imo.

by DarkCheck m

See here saying Caitlin is a top 5 to 10 player in the league. Then saying at a minimum Aja and Collier are better two-way players. You see how both these statements are being disingenuous? Firsoff Caitlin is nowhere near the 10th best player in the league.

I don't really agree with this list (from season tipoff), but I also think you're being hyperbolic.

20. Angel Reese

19. Skylar Diggins

18. Dearica Hamby

17. Chelsea Gray

16. Satou Sabally

15. Kahleah Copper

14. Nneka Ogwumike

13. Rhyne Howard

12. Aliyah Boston

11. Caitlin Clark

10. Sabrina Ionescu

9. Kelsey Plum

8. Paige Bueckers

7. Kelsey Mitchell

6. Allisha Gray

5. Breanna Stewart

4. Jackie Young

3. Alyssa Thomas

2. Napheesa Collier

1. A’ja Wilson

Oh, damn. They did list Mitchell as better. Wow.

If the mods get a whiff of this,

They may start a new thread where everything about who's the best ??? In the league goes there. And the WNBA thread can return to normalcy.

"Caitlin Clark GOAT: Everyone else playing for 2nd, Super Aids Containment Thread"

I like Caitlin, it wouldn't bother me a bit if she ever lives up to the hype you've heaped upon her. But you keep regurgitating the same opinions over and over, post after post. It gets old. Actually amusing that a human can have such an obsession about another human. In the old days you'd just shoot the president to get her attention, then get married and live happily ever after. (Last sentence is a joke since tone doesn't translate to text)

The Wings have been horrid the last few years but now have Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd which are both really good. Hope they can contend this year. Point being there are more than 3 great players in the league.

Not that this is a determining factor on who is a better scorer in a real game. As basketball iq leads to better chances to score as well. And caitlin's basketball iq is WAY better.

But even the one on one i completely disagree. Michell is a terrible defender, worse than Caitlin. So again Caitlin's basketball iq would allow her to move in and get great scoring chances. Oh and i thought of another thing. Mitchell is only 5'8 while Caitlin is only 5'8. How could Mitchell beat caitlin the majority of the time being 4 inches shorter? Aagin given caitlin's basketball iq what would she do? She'd move in and post her up. Caitlin could also be able to block Mitchell's shots given the height advantage. Lastly Caitlin's shooting range is longer. And imo Caitlin is a better shooter in gereral even though she hasn't been shooting great lately. But again in a 1 on 1 she would never have to shoot long range as she'd own Mitchell in th post.

Now on to that ridiculous LOL list someone put up. Just shows you how people lie about Caitlin. see you in the other post!

I keep regurgitating the same opinions because people keep mocking my posts when i say she's great and has a chance to be the goat. Then people act like there's lot's of players better than her in the league when it's simply not true, and just made up dishonesty.

Why such negative ugly posts attacking me? What did i do to you? If you don't like my posts ignore them if you want. I still love you. Just stop insulting me. Wish we could be friendly and have thought provoking posts of debate instead of negativity. I apologize for so much Caitlin posts but nobody else in the league intrigues me like she does. Everyone else is ordinary in comaprison. I planned on lessening my Caitlin posts if you had just waited. Btw sometimes i'm posting about her so much because someone actually starts debating me about her which i then naturally have to respeond to the debate. Which i'm happy to debate in a constructive friendly way.

Also nobody had posters on their wall of jordan, worse his shoes, and idolized him and talked all things Jordan which you would call an obsession? I don't call it an obsession. I call it having fun discussing my favorite player.. And evryone then lying about her greatness just makes me more motivated to defend her and post her resume, and post after her games to discuss her game that night. And i don't have her poster, jersey, or shoes. Btw another diss of Caitlin that she doesn't have her own shoe deal yet even though she's the most popular player in the league. But soon probably. Also what about the Jordan vs Leberon for goat thread? I don't see people every day talking about their favorite player? I doubt that is seen as an obseesion and just having some fun. But since you mentioned it if they start a who is the wnba goat Caitlin? Or if not who goat thread i would put my posts there would i would be less annoying then.

But genuinely, i'm sorry i'm making your experience less enjoyable. I''m just excited that the wnba is back and excited to see Caitlin again as last season was boring for me as Caitlin didn't play most of the season. It's great seeing her back and to see if she is who i think she is which is, knock on wood, the goat! No disrespect to other players. Lot's of good players in the league it's just Caitlin has this special excitement about her game that others don't don't have imo. Like jordan did for people, me included. Then Steph did for people, me included. Only a few special players have that excitement around them.

But again geniunely sorry, and i hope we can start over. But if you don't want to i understand and just ignore my posts if that would make your experience more enjoyable. Either way, i genuinely wish you all the best!!!!! You got me bummed out now i gotta try and get in a better mood now. Now i gotta break down Dodger's top 20 list of ridiculous players ahead of Caitlin. Maybe i'll pound a beer first to lighten my mood. Later!

something wouldn't surprise me if we learn caitlin started out playing poker around november 2014 and enjoyed checking in the dark

Three ION games tonight. I'll be tuning in to watch Jessica Shepard terrorize Cameron Brink and the rest of the Sparks.

i want to see cameron genocide brink play some D and shut. her. down.

good clip of brink getting mad the other night. someone from the other team tried to calm her down, and brink said "don't talk to me"

All right. Keep us updated on court chatter

Large on wings -122 tonight

It's a bit crazy to have Caitlin Goat talk when A'ja is still in her prime and up 4-0 MVPs, 3-0 titles.

Olivia 'The Show' Miles is killing it. Mn at the top of the standings with 2 rotation players from last year, combination of Reeve GOAT coaching, Miles playing out of her mind, Tash and Coffey being massive FA bargains.

They have a top 2 player coming back, this could be an all-timer roster.

Miles has been cooking everyone on pick and roll so GS tries playing back and she goes 8-11 from 3. Good luck on that scouting report. Also most teams are trash defenses compared to Gs/Atl, can't wait to see her vs the Sparks.

The roster is still the roster

Wings (-1.5)?

What a game

NM you had a ML bet

Teaira McCowan being around is something I like for them. I dont want to be negative on the Lynx, I just dont know that they’re stacking up favorably against the best teams in the end.

Miles probably hits a wall at some point

Reeve is the goat #1 MIN with #1 offense and #1 defense through ten games

Phoenix 80:1 on kings worth a shekel perhaps

I agree with all of this. Even that anyone thinking Caitlin goat talk is crazy while Aja has 4 mvp's and 3 titles, and probably gonna get another mvp this year. I just got a feeling she's gonna do some special stuff in this league. Barring injury, knock on wood!

You’re talking about talk at this point? Is that correct

Interesting post. You agree they have the best coach, best offense, best defense but say they are not stacking up favorably against the best teams in the league? Not being sarcastic, just genuinely asking what do you mean by that? What are they missing? I mean they already number 1 in everything without their best player getting on the floor which will be happening soon. Again not necessarily disagreeing just curious what's your opinion is to why they won't have what it takes?

I agree on Miles hitting a wall btw. Not a brick wall but she's not an elite superstar yet. She will have a great career but she's not all the way there yet. Especially considerng she's known to be a horrible defender. We don't hear about that though because her name isn't Caitlin Clarke. Sorry i had to throw in one Caitlin Calrke for fun lol.

But i did have them as the favorite to win it all even though Miles isn't all the way there yet. Because of the coach, Courtney Williams, the defense, the offense, and of course the person everyone says in the 2nd best player in the nba in Napheesa Collier coming back. If not them who? It would have to be the Liberty, Aces, or one other team i won't mention as to not to jinx them. You might be able to guess who i may be thinking lol. But they got alot of work to do. But there's also Dallas and the Valkerie who are good teams just on the outside of the best teams.

Better basketball players

Las Vegas is a large favorite. NY is a large favorite. Atlanta is a large favorite.

Maybe Minnesota is on par with the Golden State, Indiana level contenders at best. And that’s if Collier immediately comes back to mvp level after destroying her legs less than a year ago

New York sure. Especially when Ionescu comes back. If she can stay healthy. She might be back today against the Fever. She's improtant because she can run the offense smoother than Johaannes can. Johannes is more a shooter than a distributor. She can sure shoot when she gets hot though. Liberty got a deep bench too.

Vegas sure but only really because they have Aja. I actually haven't watched them play much to see if the rest of the starters are really that good or not. I mean Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young get alot of hype. They got alot of experience but are they over-rated? According to Chennedy Carter she's better than most of the starters which sounds like she thinks there's Aja than everybody else. Not necessarily that they're bad though just that Chennedy carter is that good. Don't know much about Talbot? Maybe heard she's a good 3 point shooter? And don't know much about Nalyssa Smith. I'll probably watch them today because their on national television against the Valkyries. Then i'll have a better idea how they look.

But ok Liberty and Aces. Atlanta i was kinda high on them because i thought Rhyne Howard, Canada, and Alisha Gray. And Angel to rebound. Didn't think them to be the best but i thought they might be 3rd or 4th. But their performance against the Fever made me feel a little less like they're real strong. Maybe that was a one off game. Or maybe the Fever just played a great game as they had a team meeting and came out really focused.

The Fever i actually don't like their starting lineup or bench either. Only player to be trusted is Caitlin Clarke. No not fanboying lol just being serious for a moment. Boston(btw i like her and think she might improve more) and Mitchell are talented scorers. But Boston to me feels like she's still inexperienced even though she's been in the league awhile. I mean she misses making good screens alot of the time. Misses layups. Defense isn't great. Her post up moves lot's of nice spin moves like Jonquel Jones(i like Jonquel too it's just feels like i see alot of times of fantastic spins moves but then misses the put. But she's good and can hit 3's too sometimes.) but they both fail to finish after all the spin moves many times. Her turn around jumper is decent though. Also Boston it feels like she's too nice. I mean doesn't seem to have that mean finisher/closer winning mentality. Kobe called it Mamba Mentality. She'll get better but feels like she needs to clean stuff up. Mitchell has experience but i feel like she's just a scorer but doesn't have a championship mentality like same as Boston. She doesn't look to get her teammates involved. Also defense is not good. Lexi seems poised and a good defender. But her shooting seems to have not been great this year but she doesn't have a big game. Just kinda solid. Sophie's important for one reason. She provides the muscle. The heart of the team. The toughness the team lacks. Then there's Caitlin. She's a general running the offense. Fantastic basketball iq, great court vision, great passing, shooting needs to improve, but knock on wood, i think she'll figure it out. Defense is not good. Makes her teammates better. Caitlin has the Mamba mentality. Ionescu has it too. Aja has it. Breanna used to have it. But her game hasn't been good so far this year. But she'll probably figure it out she's only 31 so she shouldn't be done. But back to Caitlin for the Fever. She seems really focused on winning. I just don't see that in her teammates as of yet. But they have a shot because of Caitlin. And maybe Boston and Mitchell can show they are winners with championship mentality Just haven't seen it yet.

So here's my top 5 for now...

1. Lynx

2. Liberty.

3. Aces

4. Fever

5. Dream

Honorable mention just outside the top 5.... 6. Valkeries and 7. Wings.

I don't think that game is a good indicator of the dream. allisha gray and rhyne Howard both had off nights. or maybe the fever was really good at shutting them down? idk.

but anygame that both gray and howard are shooting bad, the dream is gonna get crushed. cuz they're both gonna take a ton of shots, rightfully so.

Top 4 mvp's...

1. Aja- she's gonna win it because she plays the maximum minutes. No disrespect but it is true she locks it up for that reason.

2. Caitlin Clarke- The most dynamic all purpose offensive player in wnba history. Enough said.

3. Napheesa Collier- hard to win when start the season injured but we will see what she brings when she comes back.

4. Breanna Stewart- she won't win judging by her early performances. But if she finds her game she could get into contention.
