I love breanna Stewart but this was the worst game i ever seen her play. Maybe like someone said she's getting old. She was blowng layups. Bad passes/turnovers. She barely ever took an intiative to try and score by posting up. What a sloppy game for her. I still believe in you Breanna but this was ugly. The youngsters on Dallas made the Liberty look old.
Before the season started i thought it would be the Liberty in the finals. Now i have to wonder? Was this just a bad day or are they this sloppy and old?
ATL pho game was great. dream down 13 in the 4th came back and won. they had 3 technicals and 2 flagrants. also missed 10 free throws.
and when atl was up by 4 points with 3 seconds left, angel fouled Cooper shooting a 3! lmfao

Kelsey Mitchell for Breanna Stewart. And if the Liberty want more the fever have a bunch of back up guards if they want them. Maybe have to throw in a draft pick. I still believe in Breanna!

That's a very NBA-centric paradigm. Even in the NBA it's pretty rare for a #10 pick to start day 1.
Let's look at the last decade's worth and how many games they started as a rook.

You can be the judge of how many of these guys were "also able to score."
For a lot of these guys the situation somehow only got worse after year 1.

If you can't get a star, or even starter at the 10 pick every team should trade away their picks every year other than the very top draft spots to get actual stars and starters in the league. I like Raven and rooting for her. But given her limited offensive skills and she's small it feels like her ceiling is limited. Still she will probably overachieve and hope the best for her. But the pick for the needs of the Fever should have been a big. The fever have too many guards already but no bigs. Boston isn't really a big even. Feels like her natural position is forward.
Natasha Howard was a good kinda big but sounds like there was drama in the locker room. But even she wasn't a center. Why do they refuse to get a center? The liberty have a bunch of giants over there. Han! If the fever can't get Brink they should try to get Han.
Kelsey plum has been on absolute beast mode. but i'd like to see Lexie hull stop her. lexie would have a chance. she plays great D
at half the game, she and Hamby being god-awful defenders is why LA sucks, fun to watch games but they aren't winning **** or likely even making the playoffs when you give up 96ppg.

A'ja just shot midrange all game long, basically never went in the paint. It's weird but something she does sometimes.
Azzi Fudd getting things figured out. Wings looked better with Paige off the point, she takes fewer stupid shots when she's not doing all the initiating. Wasn't paying enough attention to know why Odyssey Sims hardly played last night, but she may not really be the answer anyway.
Why does Breanna Stewart look old and sloppy? She's only 31. Shouldn't she still be in her prime? I remember her being the bread and butter offensively for her team. This year she looks like a role player. I know small sample size but this has been very sloppy. At least the last the past few games i've seen on tv. Don't know how she did for her first couple or few games. I used to love watching her play now it's like pulling teeth for her to shoot, and when she does it's usually a settle 3 or settle jumper.
I love the wnba but why do you only play 10 minute quarters? And only 44 games is it? And why so little tv games?
She looks to me like she's suffering from the end stage of some terrible disease or a really horrible flu or something. I don't mean that literally, just that she looks unwell.
As for the sloppiness, it's afflicting the entire Lib roster. Some of it is Ionescu being out, she makes the offense go. I'm a Pauline fan but she is woefully miscast as a point. There is a reason Stewart ended the last game bringing the ball up. The other guards are just not playmakers.
Then again it may not matter, since the Mercury are apparently tanking the season. They're cooked.
