** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
2 of your first 4 penalty takers are your center halves. Popovici ain't surviving this unscathed.
pk's seem like someone always boots it into the stands and someone always drills the bar or post or multiple of each
Part of me doesn't get the fascination of making the knockout stage for these sub par teams. Wow you made it congratulations, now you get to lose Argentina or France.
cape verde only has 500 thousand people or so. It's quite the achievement for them. Lots of countries soccer is their main sport and the fans are all happy they made it.
in normal world cups these two teams just get blasted in R16 and everybody forgot they made it.
I think you're agreeing with me now.
Really bad juju IMO to bring a keeper on for penalties. And then bad practice for the specialist keeper to premeditatedly go to his left each time

This game is on TSN 4? Do TSN 1-3 still carry the Free Agent Frenzy?
it's on tsn1, 4 & 5
could be wrong, but ii think every game has been on tsn1
they barely even frenzy anymore. think that only went for a few hours this year
anyway, messi o/u 2.5 goals?
Cape Verde looks better than either Egypt or Australia did earlier.
I bet 10 cents on Argentina winning 4-0 or better. Go Argentina!
Vozinha aura farming with all these tricks.
And there it is
We get to watch him do this.
What a take
should be a massive scandal that miami is not leading the mls standings with messi and the other argentina attacker is on that team too
Controls the long pass with 1 touch, gets the shot off less than a second later, goal.
It's like he plays the game in slow motion compared to everyone else.
who does he think he is, bergkamp?
Cape Verde looked perfectly comfortable before that goal then bang. RIP.
Hat trick incoming.
Yeah, I don't know how much the fifa rules have changed to include people born elsewhere and how much of what we're seeing are just the long term effects of the great work of mr Sepp Blatter to improve football globally, but Curacao (lolgermany), Cabo Verde and of course Morocco have been quite enjoyable
