I liked to play a game called "Was it racist?"

Back in grade 9 I moved to a new city and made the school basketball team.

Happened during lunch/recess.

I remember 2 people on the team saying I only made the team because I used the backboard. This was false because I was legitimately the 2nd best player on the team. These 2 were bench people like a grade lower.

I fired back jokingly "well you guys only made the team because you are black."

This did not sit well and they confronted me after school which means they were clearly upset. I can't recall what was said but I do remember saying "it wasn't racist because black people are better than white people at basketball".
