Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
2025 first round draft pick from Houston or L.A. Clippers (Oklahoma City outgoing to Houston, L.A. Clippers or Brooklyn)
Oklahoma City has the right to swap its 2025 1st round pick for Houston's 2025 1st round pick protected for selections 1-10 or the L.A. Clippers' 2025 1st round pick; Houston then has the right to swap its pick or the Oklahoma City pick to Brooklyn for Phoenix's 2025 1st round pick; if the Houston pick falls within its protected range, then Houston's obligation to Oklahoma City will be extinguished and Houston will instead have the right to swap its pick to Brooklyn for the Phoenix pick [L.A. Clippers-Oklahoma City, 7/10/2019; Houston-Oklahoma City, 7/16/2019; Brooklyn-Cleveland-Houston-Indiana, 1/16/2021; Brooklyn-Indiana-Milwaukee-Phoenix, 2/9/2023; Brooklyn-Houston, 6/26/2024]
Yep, OKC can definitely get the #1 pick.
SGA/Chet/JDub/Cooper
They win what? 5 straight titles?
I feel bad for those 6 clippers fans in the US.
That trade could not have gone any more wrong qua outcome even though the trade itself on the moment was a no-brainer.
Not a cap expert but I don't see how they can afford the two max rookie extensions in 2026 for Chet & JDub + keep good players around (hartensetein, dort, caruso, free agents, etc.)
I know the most likely outcome is more disappointment. I know it's just preseason. I know anytime I get excited all that happens is letdown. But maybe the Hornets have something here.
I need to believe in something! lol

iirc Billy Crystal is a Clippers fan.
If Chet and Jdub keep progressing and they want to keep them then Dort is very likely gone and Hartenstein too. Part of the reason they gave him that big deal (and structured it for 3rd year non-guaranteed) is to use him as salary ballast in a trade for a star if one becomes available.
Charlotte is 1000-1 to title.
You could hope for an ECF appearance and then hedge the other 3 ways…
I really think they’re going to make the play-in.
I've never once considered betting on Hornets title odds, but that's juicy. And if they somehow made the ECF, I'd it ride the whole way. Don't hedge the heater!
On top the of the talent on the roster, I like what I've seen and heard from Charles Lee so far. He's young and has title pedigree.
Ultimately, I think it comes down to how much Melo wants to do outside of the highlight plays and shooting. If he buys in on defense, is involved on offense when he's not controlling the ball, etc. we really might have something.
I'll tell you one thing, though. Brandon Miller isn't ****ing around. I think he's already our best player.

It will be really hard as time goes on but I do think perhaps some guys start taking less
I mean less in 3-4 years is basically 57m instead of 67m a year or something
You can still afford hbo max on that
Let’s Go Brandon
I don’t see why any of you would have watched dubs kings last night, but Sam Mitchell, that guy had himself a proper meltdown on nbatv that wouldn’t shock me if he got fired for
lol he really went in.
That was definitely ****ing wild and I wasn’t familiar with them cuz I rarely ever watch nbatv studio shows, but there has to be some intense hatred there for Mitchell to (probably) end his career over some snide remark
I'd fire the other guy and give Mitchell a raise.
You can definitely tell other guy was way too comfortable taking cheap shots at Mitchell that he wasn’t here for anymore
Ask for the smoke get the smoke
possibly was trying to negotiate a new contract, failed (hence the snide remarks from the other guy) and decided to go out in a blaze of glory
staff were told to let him cook and the rest is history
seems like a win/win for everyone involved
Smitch always had an ego.
Not surprising to see him go off like a diva.
Vince Carter should come on and body slam him, again
Tallest man get ball. Tallest man dunk ball.
Prepare yourselves. Edey is coming.
