Late notes from the Spurs/GSW game last Saturday.
-Wemby is just nuts in person. He played pretty crappy for 3 quarters, looked winded and slow, then dominated for like 6 minutes and the game was over. He dropped a couple threes and got his confidence and energy up and all of a sudden he’s blocking every shot, setting everyone up, involved in everything. Does he take too many 3s? I dunno, when you see it happen it’s very clear he can get it uncontested whenever he wants with very minimal effort and honestly he’s not strong enough to set up on the block. All his paint scores were either set-ups or came from face ups where he euros from the top of the key in two steps.
-Draymond looks old AF. Don’t think he jumped more than twice, giant ice bags on both knees as soon as he sits down every time.
-Castle is a real one. Dogged Curry, hit a three in his face for the go ahead. Great hair. Crowd loves him.
-Think GSW fades unless they trade for a scoring wing. Buddy is basically their #2 option, and then they have no one who can create anything.
Wouldn't it be something if James set his personal best for triple doubles in a season in his turn 40 season? He's got a good shot. His high was 18, got 6 this season early on.
