English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win a 4th PL title in a row becoming the first team to do so narrowly beating out arsenal who took it to the last day this year. They accomplished this by rattling off an absurd 33 games unbeaten in all competitions making it 6 titles in 7 years for the Citizens.

Season Preview:
Man City and Arsenal have distanced themselves as the clear favorites for the title. With Arsenal closing the gap and beating Man City on xG could this be the year that they get over the line? There are some large error bars on Liverpool with klopp retiring and Salah getting older, will they be able to insert themselves in the title race again like they did last year?
For top 4/5 can Aston Villa repeat last years feat thanks to the normal culprits being completely incompetent or will one of Chelsea/United get their **** together finally (hopefully not)? Spurs went full Spurs throwing the match vs City to stop arsenal from winning the title while costing themselves top 4 in the process, will they be in the race again despite doing no business at all in the summer to address squad needs?
The relegation fight as usual has the 3 promoted teams as favorites to go back down, but with PSR looming in the background could we see a surprise team relegated?
turning up, telling them they are **** over and over again, losing all his games, and leaving after less than 12 months with an eight figure payoff would be amazing. it also sounds quite achievable
cba w palace brentford, just wanna watch spurs v leicester **** you sky
Sky only interested in showing the big clubs.
Lol spuds
This is seriously unbelievable and yet somehow not at all
it's TOT lads
Wtf I look away for 2 mins and it's now 2-1 Leicester
He is going to get fired if we don't come back and win today
I dont want to see an interview with the palace/brentford managers after this game, I want to see the person behind the choice of 2pm game to be put in front of the camera and made to explain themselves.
There's no way big Ange survives this
This Leicester team are so **** that they haven’t won since they beat us.
Also it looks like we have an innovative 5-5-0 formation today. It’s going to be ugly.
Losing at home to the worst manager in the PL is surely it for Ange. Way out of his depth, unsurprising when you look at his CV. The squad is patchy and mediocre in places but surely better than a relegation battle lol.
So Spurs (15th) are a point clear of Everton (16th) having played an extra game. Everton host Leicester (17th) next weekend. This is not good.
Does Ange get until at least the League Cup 2nd leg against Liverpool? Maybe if Spurs can somehow advance to the final it buys Ange some time?
Also, Spurs upcoming home games:
Man Utd, Man City, Bournemouth
Firing him is so ****ing stupid. Which is why Levy likely does it.
There have been extended periods when we've been nothing but good to great, when it's clicked we've been irresistible at times, and we've signed several players for an obvious long term project........ and we have about 13-14 players out through injury lol, including c. 5-6 nailed on every game starters.
That said, the players being dead on their feet and him not even *trying* to start more youth is frustrating as is lack of substitutions.
As said above, good luck us hiring anyone else "good" when issues clearly institutional.
I really hope we've been trying to sign players this window and have just so far failed, because if not then what the hell are we even doing here.
Conte was cooking when he said that “you can change managers, a lot of managers, but the situation cannot change, believe me.”

I've felt this way since before Poch really, when I first started thinking about it was Redknapp through to AVB. Semi-BAIDS theorem I guess.
I think Levy has done a lot of good for everything except the football. We are certainly in a financial position where we could go and challenge if we could actually recruit and run that side, you know, the critical side, of the organization properly. He cannot do that.
Firing Ange would be dumb and won't change anything I don't think (unless we luckbox another Kane out of the the youth system).
im retired from this sort of activity but can someone with more energy please go langer a billion posts from the ange golden era
they shouldn't sack him btw unless there's something in the theory that his training methods etc caused all those injuries, which seems unlikely. these losses are due to having shite players on the pitch
if anything they should sign him to an extension for ~nothing and thus save the 50m+ which levy is itching to spend on bringing in and then shortly afterwards getting rid of the next three sideline monkeys

I would wager that many of us here knew we were getting better results than the performances and said as much, same as first 10+ games this season we were probably playing better than during that prior period and just not getting the results.

This - though there are several at least half-good players on the pitch who happen to be completely knackered. When half the Spurs fans don't know the names of half the bench, that is also not good.
Mmmm, no. More like poach some guy who won a F3 championship.
