I decided to do some actual research for the games this week.

What a dreadful decision! That's what everybody else (ie, your competition) is doing! To be able to outrun them, you've got to zig when they zag. At least you need to zig much of the time.

I think the obvious solution is to lay off the Thursday night game as "research". Go ahead and pick it, but don't submit so that you can hold off on your Sunday picks. If you should have Costanza'ed Thursday night then you Constanza the Sunday picks. If you should have Double Reverse Costanza'ed, then you do that for Sunday's games.
