Incredible result for NZ. Winning in India is seriously impressive.

Yeah, late post but this is gold, greatest achievement in our history basically, amazing effort. Not many teams beat India at home and no team has ever done the clean sweep. Still beaming from it haha

Just want to say the test match series is coming up and it is going to be close - advantage to us in the bowling but advantage to India in the batting. Drawn series at least gets us to the final in England! Looking forward to us making it with the last hurrah it will be for our quartet of bowlers (greatest 4 bowlers I think the world has ever seen - just to add with having a spinner. Of course WI perhaps had the best 4 fast bowlers in the world with Roberts, Garner, Marshall and Holding).

This will be just the 9th Test series in Australia of 5+ matches not involving England or the West Indies.
4 South Africa, 4* India, 1 Pakistan

Australia’s record in those series is 6W 2D.

217 runs and 17 wickets on the first day, could be done by tomorrow

Im loving this new era where bat vs ball is a more even contest, in most games.

We are seeing which batters can handle all different conditions, who can battle and adapt

I mean that is what you get for picking a middle order batsman to open - McSweeney is decent but this is not India. Renshaw to come in for the next test - huge pressure on Smith and Marnus to hold their spots if they don't perform in Adelaide as McSweeney is breathing down their neck. Also, if not Renshaw just play Marcus Harris ffs - I think I have been going on about this for awhile but he keeps scoring runs for Victoria.

Also, just a side note further, booked my first tickets to see a Boxing day test match 😃

I love to see Australia going through what England went through when Strauss retired. Tried everyone with a pulse in first class cricket, moved our best batsman up to open for some reason, probably ruined a few promising careers with all the chaos.

Aussies were arrogant not playing their batsmen much in the Shield. They’ve had a long break from 1st class cricket

We can't have a team with McSweeney, Smith and Marnus in it - they are all the same player. At least one of them has to go.

104 all out (51.2)
12-3 (4.2)
150 all out (49.4)
487-6 dec (134.3)

Australia require 522 runs to win with 7 wickets remaining

lol

I for one am greatly enjoying this performance from Australia

Marnus’ shot just then was horrific

Hope Bumrah can get his first 10-fer, bloke deserves it. Only six captains have taken a 10-fer in an away Test, only two of them being pace bowlers (I Khan, C Walsh).

Sick of listening to Boof Lehmann on the radio, that’s the problem with some ex-players, they lack an opinion and a backbone. Dares not say that Australia is out of this.

This pitch might be a lesson to the BCCI that perhaps they should not prepare ridiculously spin-friendly pitches at home.

I'm glad they did though.

Bumrah is a joke, so good

What else do you expect from someone whose nickname is "Boof"?

Fairplay to India coming back like this after Nz destroyed them on their home turf.

Nice to see Kohli back in the runs and Jaiswal is a phenom

I'm sure Bethell has all the talent in the world but sticking him in at number 3 is just clicking buttons.

Thankfully, next year’s Ashes test in Adelaide is a day game.

I have done a lads trip to the Adelaide test match every year since 2000 and the day/night tests really mess with the rhythm of a big weekend.

Williamson after months out comes back with a lazy 93 after getting sent in on a greenish pitch and losing an opener early

The pitch is a road now but still amazing knock by Brook, he is a modern day star for sure

My moneys on a draw from here

Yes, I think as long as NZ top order starts well it feels like a draw. Although you guys could put some pressure on if you get 200 ahead

Well that was an optimistic call... Mitchell is due for a 100 though. We need to play very boring and not lose anymore today at 64/3
