Razz - Swinging Toward Insanity?
I've been playing a fair bit of razz, and I can't tell if I suck or if I'm just running bad lol definitely losing, but I guess I'm looking for reassurance that razz, being a lowball game, is incredibly swingy? My perfect openers caught bad while V caught good, marginal holdings (playing extremely short, at most 1-2 opponents) paired, that sort of shite. Felt like my opp was controlling the runout at times. If this is a normal experience for a fish, I'd appreciate resources - I'm planning to get Sklansky on Poker, which has his thing on Razz, and I've seen a bad enough review (your man pointed out things I wouldn't want to hear about the book) for Play Razz Poker to Win to strike it from my list.
To reiterate, I've started playing Razz, and have had the experience of most of my promising hands go south when I catch bad and opp catches good, etc. I'm wondering if it's just a swingy game and some nights will just be like this, or am I missing something crucial playing heads up razz? - if so links please <3
