Looking for a German Poker Buddy & Mentor

Looking for a German Poker Buddy & Mentor

After a 15-year break, I’ve recently returned to poker. I used to play 180-man Sit & Gos and MTTs, but these days cash games fit my life much better - being self-employed with a wife and three kids.

I’m starting out at NL10 because I want to make sure I can reliably beat a stake before moving up. Over the past two weeks I’ve played a few thousand hands, mainly trying to exploit the overly tight regulars in the micros. So far it’s been going well: I’m up about 1,500bb. Probably running hot, but it honestly doesn’t feel like it.

Right now I stick to playing just one table on stars or ggpoker. I’m not chasing an hourly; I simply want to observe my opponents closely and spot weaknesses. Back in the old days I completely crushed my winrate by 16-tabling, so this slower, more focused approach feels much better for me. Later on, I’ll probably move up to four tables.

I live close to two casinos, but unfortunately they don’t offer poker anymore. There are also no local live games left, so poker can feel a bit lonely these days.
That’s why I’m looking for someone around my age +-10years (I’m 33) from Germany who would enjoy helping me improve. Kind of a mix between a poker buddy and a mentor.

My long-term goal is to learn how to maintain a positive winrate at NL100 after rake. I’m not really playing for money; I just want to play without losing over the long run.
To make the journey more enjoyable for both of us, I’d be willing to share 80% of my winnings for a tbd period with anyone who helps me climb the stakes.

see you on the tables 😀
