Yes, if you're fortunate enough to have resources and health now, do things while you still can.
I've been trying to come up with a location for a possible winter trip. Nothing I've looked at so far has really intrigued me.
My wife and I talk about this all the time. We absolutely love to fish together, but it is getting harder and harder to do so. I can barely move after a day offshore, and she's noticing it's getting harder for her as well.
But, we also figure we have a limited number of chances to do this now, so we make sure we get out when we can.
I don't really have anyone to travel with, but I am off to Hilton Head on Friday for golf and later on in August to Ireland with my two girl friends. I might try for something in July, maybe to California to visit cousins for a week or Chicago to visit a friend there.
Turning 70 made me want to do more.

Where in CA?
worse places to be
going to squeeze in a round at cypress point?
Even if I could get into Cypress Point, I'm not good enough to play there. But I would give it a shot.
My brother and sister-in-law are house sitting at my cousin's in Mill Valley. My cousins from Nipomo went up to meet them for lunch at Pebble Beach.

deviled ham requires certain tines not to be confused with those intended for ova
always remember to present so cal etiquette and be on your best mayonaise
Fantastic trips planned, John...you gotta come back to Vegas so we can play golf.
I just had a complete physical done with all the bells and whistles, and, apparently, I'm in perfect health. PSA perfect, liver excellent, chest all clear. My cholesterol was so good my doctor said I must east very healthy. Nope, not at all...and I'm 30 pounds overweight. Not sure what to make of all this.
I'm having fun watching the Met Gala entrances. I love this stuff.

I'd love to get back to Vegas. I'm really bummed, though, that I'm banned from driving once again. One of the women will need to drive all the time in Ireland, and I was looking forward to driving on the left side.
My golf game sucks these days, but I think I'm enjoying it more than I did when I was good. At least I know I'm terrible these days.
Good to hear you're in perfect health.

Not sure what you mean, Red. I realize how incredibly fortunate I've been to be able to go all the places and see all the things I'm really interested in. So I guess I'm embracing that good fortune.
OTOH, maybe that makes me the most boring person in the world, already having run through my A and B lists. Still tons to see, just none of it really ignites a spark.
Synonym for tine?
lol guys, keep me out of the politards forum. I've been wayward
Uncanny current events, tho. lol

poorly phrased question on my part
by winter trip are you looking to embrace or avoid the season
aka canadian rockies or equator
The great poets are seldom understood in their own times.
You are old enough to know better.
No you don't.

I don’t pay much attention to celebrities/Hollywood anymore 363 days out of the year but tune into the Oscars and the Met red carpet like clockwork every year
I lost interest in the Oscars, but Walt Hickey made the point that the Oscars are the only motivation the studios have for making something besides dreck, which I thought was interesting.

Ah, got it. Avoid. Grew up in the far north of Wisconsin, lived in Des Moines for quite some time. Had enough of real winter, hate the cold. Fortunately, it's not so bad out here.
This year, I imagine it will be just a simple trip. Maybe San Diego or something.
I'm good at Jeopardy, but these masters questions are really difficult. I feel dumb.
