Starting a day early because I might forget tomorrow. 95 degree temps expected inland in RI. It might hit 75 at my house
Had cataract surgery yesterday on one eye. Need to wait a couple more weeks for the second but can already see without glasses for the first time in sixty years. The only problem is that now I need reading glasses.
The world also looks much brighter.

And yeah, for me 40's and 50's are the absolute best looking women. Experience is more attractive than youth.

Yeah, it's pretty great. Hope the second goes just as well.
Just thought I'd post this picture of a few 70 year olds. We all graduated from high school and college together. From left to right, a pharmacist, an engineer, a lawyer, a dentist, and a poor college professor (me). We get together almost every Sunday.
There's something really comforting about hanging on to old friends.

My friend was speaking at a town council meeting. Another speaker a few minutes later referred to him as the "elderly gentleman."

Last night I watched a movie with sunglasses on because everything is so bright after the cataract surgery on one eye.
Now explain to my granddaughter the etymology of cataract and it also is a waterfall. Isn't this what all grandfathers do?
