I think The Walking Dead may be the best drama thats currently airing/in production.

My friend told me how much she loved the new season of Fargo because of its violence. I didn't know whether to kiss her or step away quietly.
Is it good?

I liked it. It's not as good as the Billy Bob season and better than the Chris Rock season. Worth watching for sure.
Somehow my TV put on the first few minutes of Grammy show. Why do they have hosts who are neither entertaining or funny for these things ? And who are these performers?
Just have a disembodied voice introducing these acts.
I lasted two minutes just to see if Trevor Noah could get any worse. He did.

Trevor Noah is where humour goes to die.
I'm surprised by how much I'm liking Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Seems to be working well on a lot of levels. Only 1 episode in so far but I have a good feeling. Especially considering how hard I am to please this days, TV-wise I mean.
Been watching a French detective show, Astrid, about an autistic woman who helps the police solve cases. Really good.
In one episode, a victim is discovered to have Golden Blood. Fewer than 50 people have this blood type. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Anyone watch Halo, the show based on the very popular video game franchise that I have never played?
I've watched 4 episodes so far, and it's quite interesting...not sure if it's good yet...but it's quite complex. The only know actors, at least to me, are Natasha McElhone and Charlie Murphy.

Season 1 or 2?
Assuming 1, for me, started off well enough but pretty much goes to hell by seasons end, and you could remove the whole Kwan Ha sub plot and absolutely nothing of value would be lost. Hell, it's so awful getting rid of it would be a net improvement.
Pablo Schreiber, the guy who plays Master Chief, puts in a banging performance in American Gods as Mad Sweeney. But at the other end of the scale you have Burn Gorman pretty much playing the same role he played in The Man in the High Castle and The Expanse.

Is Normal People worth watching?
Watched first two episodes of Shogun. So far so good. I'm having a little trouble figuring out who is who, but that's normal for me.
Started watching Life & Beth. The first two episodes were kinda dark but interesting enough to keep watching. Got substantially better once Michael Cera showed up. Just watched the one where they went fishing. Good stuff.
FINALLY!
Been watching Spooks that is streaming on Amazon. I watched the series, except for season 1, years ago when it went by the American title MI-5. Excellent series.

John, I watched the first episode of Spooks/MI-5....does it get better? That was like a cutrate episode of 24.
I watched it a number of years ago, but I don't remember a single episode from the first two seasons. I think it gets better when a number of other characters get fleshed out.
Also, for me, the series begins to take off at the end of season three when Nicola Walker becomes one of the main characters.
I also like the struggle between spying and politics.
