Before I move to Vegas and I took a trip there, I went to my bank to take out $5,000 for my trip. The teller called over some bank manager and he insisted on knowing what I was planning on doing with the money. I laughed in his face and said, it's none of your business. I will do with my money what I want to do. And if you insist on keeping asking me, I will withdraw it all and take my business elsewhere.

I got my 5000.

Made it to milwaukee.

Go Brewers!

I saw the Brewers are #6 pick to win the world series. Go Brew Crew!

Those people are unaware that mrbaseball is in their midst.

It was a good game the Brewers won 7 to 2. Better yet the White Sox won and Cleveland lost. This is shaping up to be a pretty good baseball season so far. Yesterday it was just two of us so we just got some cheap nosebleed seats for $15 a piece. I was shocked when we each got a beer and it was also $15 a piece.

Today the full group will be here and we're going to get some golf in before the game. Then we'll do some proper tailgating and see tonight's game and then again tomorrow afternoon's game.

I don't know what's up with that. I know that sort of thing is sometimes done to protect the elderly from scams. Not to imply that you are elderly.[emoji16]

I get notices from Capital One asking if I really meant to leave a 30% tip. A little Big Brother, but I can live with that.

I also get occasional "did you mean to tip that amount?" from Capital One, but it doesn't seem consistent.

I don't usually leave a 30% tip, but basically we had the bar to ourselves, had a couple drinks, and figured the bartender could use a good tip.

BTW, it's about 100 here in RI. Going to NYC next weekend, and it looks like we're not going to do a lot of walking.

Happy 4th of July Eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a big one 250 and counting! Milwaukee was a blast. Nothing better than getting together with lifelong friends and doing fun stuff like playing golf, playing cards, going to baseball games and tailgating.

Brew crew won the first 2 we went to but layed an egg on the Thursday afternoon game. They even had their ace Mizerowski pitching who is absolutely phenomonal. But hit got hit around a little despite getting 10 Ks and consistently throwing 100+ mph. Everything in the first inning was 103! I hope this guys arm doesn't fall off πŸ˜€ He lost despite it being Mizeroski T-shirt day. It was also $1 hot dog day. The T-shirt is pretty nice commorating his 1 hit 15K complete game shutout last month.

Milwaukee games are great and it is an excellent ballpark. Being 4th of July week it was also very patriotic. Wedneday night game they gave everyone a small American flag and during the 7th inning stretch everyone waved their flags as 30,000+ sang God Bless America. It was a wonderful moment.

Then during the Thursday afternoon games they showed ion the Jumbotron the USA winning their game in that kickball contest that has been going on for a few weeks and 40K+ broke out into a huge USA USA USA chant. It was truly inspiring!

Right now I am rewatching John Adams on HBO to get even more into the spirit of '76.

The longer the USA stay in the kickball, the more you'll feel the spirit of it. Mexico are playing England at the Azteca, a big-time World Cup stage.

For sure! National pride is a good thing. People who never watched a hockey game in thier lives got all geeked up over the Olympics and that is good for everyone. I've seen more soccer on Ted Lasso than actual games πŸ˜€

Kickball, soccer, football? Whatever. I find it interesting that the game is so low scoring despite the difference in skill. There has to be something to the mechanics of the game where nobody ever really dominates. A really dominate team will be a horseshit team 4-1 if they are lucky. The way the game is designed it seems like no team ever has a huge edge if both teams are semi competent.

good teams, like france, can still dominate

other than that yeah it can be very boring

tbh I just wanted to post the Ween song which prolly has v little to do with anything

Also at the Azteca. This would be a gross omission.

I don't know anything about kickball, but charlie always posts the best clips about it.

Mrbaseball and former poster Fishwhenican both at the Brewers games this weekend.

Going to NYC Friday for a long weekend. We will be sandwiched between Fourth of July and the wedding/party at Madison Square Garden and the World Cup Finals on the following Sunday. I expect NYC to be crazy this weekend with the World Cup fans pouring into the city.

Get your tickets now while they are still selling for under $10,000.

I asked on X what the best US men’s kickball win was. Guy said Portugal in 2002, so I looked it up.

Spoiler
Show

Ronaldo was 17 and playing on the U21 team. The exact equivalent would be if Peyton Manning’s best tackleball win was beating the Patriots in October 2000.

This is what it's like when the hippies are in charge.
