Music: What are you listening to today?
In the spirit of the books and movies threads, here's one to talk about what you're listening to lately and what you hav

not much better out there than pounding a few drinks in the parking lot, taking 30 mg in gummies and just getting a nice sound bath in front of a symphony orchestra
recently got into Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless. How she's not more famous, I don't know. Great rock voice.
Broken YouTube LinkBroken YouTube Linkdom, have you considered that maybe the music isn't very good and that's why she's not very famous?
like i adore the lead singer of cannons, she's smoking hot and has an amazing voice, but the music still sucks

lol I haven't listened to much Pretty Reckless yet just a few songs....not my usual jam, ...I just think Momsen has a killer rock and roll voice. The songs I've heard could be better, yes.
And bite your tongue about Cannons...I LOVE a lot of their songs. So loungy and cool. I also love another similar group, Still Corners.
As someone who has been spamming this, and other, threads with Cannons and The Pretty Reckless for many years I'm randomly just going to re-post these and say that while I'm not angry with anyone ITT, I am, very, very disappointed.
If I were to make a top list of my favourite Taylors, Momsen would definitely make the top 2.Tell 'em it's goodTell 'em okayDon't do a goddamn thing they say
This is interesting, because the harshness is both powerful and melodic, but I really don't like vocals like that. I don't know what you call that kind of growling, gutteral singing.
Yeah I've gotten used to Death Metal vocals but they are pretty bad. A lot of bands in similar genres release instrumental versions of their albums because a lot of us feel that way.
I do appreciate a true scream artist like Will Ramos though.
I'll give you another example of incredible screaming. I generally find Devin Townsend's music pretty boring but he does the most melodic screaming I've ever heard.
Cookie monsters!
