The Lord said "Let there be light".

Chuck Norris said "I'll think about it..."
RIP Chuck.

Chuck was a racist, sexist, and MAGAtard, but at least left a legacy of many...uh, a few....maybe one? decent movie(s).

Mean Joe Greene, Steeler dynasty defensive hero

I enjoyed some of his films as a kid, Invasion USA was THE movie to rent in the 80s and I also liked Lone Wolf McQuaid, Delta Force and Eye for an Eye

You can edit apparently indefinitely on the newer version.

Yeah? The new version will never ever be used by me because the new version offends me at how horrible it is. Any time I click on a thread with the "new version" I just ignore it. Sorry!

An appropriate place to put this .. did not like him but his contribution to poker and this forum could not be denied. .

Too bad. Unique mind.

I think it may be. I saw him in a poker room before xmas and he looked pretty bad.

Yeah a mod confirmed on politics.

RIP

Think of it? If it wasn't for him none of us would be here. I remember him badgering people to check out his new 2+2 forum on rec.gambling.poker way back when in the early early days.

never met him or been in the same immediate inviteament

but my fundemental read
was and still
is he just seemed like the dude more than pleased to expand table talk about poker thought to any ear within gutshot

later seen coloring up by exchanging origins from paper into eyeballs then parlaying trip dubs into hashtags

wtf does this mean?? I can't parse it at all.

My translation is 'pivoting from books to lectures, and then discussing wins in live games in social media posts'.... or something.

Best wishes and condolences to Matt and the Sklansky family.

David Sklansky was a visionary. He helped change poker forever.

Very smart man in a lot of ways.

sometimes loud obscures sound logic

what was intended is a tonal poem story about a book thrice read cover to cover on my bus commute route twenty-five years ago

the author at first glance the kind of person with substantial intelligent interests in probability and other emerging ways to think and talk about playing cards

guessing he first shared his newly emerging jersy shearing sheep theories shouldered next to other future great minds of the felting

next expanding to rail birds with qwerty bound printed paper pressings before launching this very www site domain and other social media to form a sub-brain of global poker players

I agree with both of you. I think diebitter hit the nail right on the bullseye about what Red said, and I think Red made an equally accurate guess as to what Red said.

We won't know for sure until Johnny comes along and tells us, but after decades of professing Whitman and Dickinson, he said No more of this ****, and ran screaming from the room.

So let's not hold out breath.

long as that dead Joseph Heller feller still inturned lives intitled to our every post headline
smells like prophet to me
