what is the "play to 6" tournament type?

what is the "play to 6" tournament type?

Haven't seen this before, in the WSOPc events,
https://www.wsop.com/tournaments/schedul...

for a tournament that says its a 1 day tournament: "Play down to 6 on Day 1"

and for a 2 day "Play to 6 on Day 2"

Do top 6 places split the $ evenly? Or are these actually 2 and 3 day tournaments respectively? Either of those seem like really strange choices.

Best guess: Similar to Venetian survivor tournaments except the # of payouts is locked at 6. I assume they simply subtract rake from the prize pool and divide whatever is left by 6 to determine the payout. Would assume 1-6 all pay the same.

Thats what I thought it might have been at first, but these are wsopc ring events, so it must play down to a winner
must be the # of days is wrong in each of them, the "1 day" is actually 2 days, the "2 days" is 3 days. I noticed theres a 3rd one, event 16 thats "play to 6 on day 2" and listed as a 3 day tournament

The 2nd event you link to is listed as a 2-Day event. It just means they play down to 6 players on Day 1 (no matter how long it takes) and then play out the final 6 on Day 2. I'm not sure why the first event says "play to 6 on Day 2", this is probably a typo and should be "play to 6 on Day 1" just like the second event.

That makes a lot more sense than some type of random arbitrary 6 prize survivor.
