Harrahs Pompano Beach (formerly Isle Casino Racing)Pompano Beach, FL)
Guys, wanted to give you an update on our meeting with Mike Smith, Isle Poker Room Manager, and then I want to turn the thread over to him for everyone else to ask him questions.
The meeting went well. Mike wasn't available to share all of the room's details with us before the July 1 date, but he did disclose the following:
- The Isle will create a better rakeback/comp system for its regular players. That was obviously well-received -- this will be a competitive selling point between poker rooms in South Florida and Tampa, I'm sure.
- The Isle will have capped and uncapped cash games. Mike made it clear that the player base he has now will not be alienated and that there will be a cap on some tables to keep the game affordable. This was expected and it figures to be something standard at all SoFla poker rooms. Mike also said the room will have unique blinds in some of their games (1/3 and 10/25 to name two).
- Safety deposit boxes will be offered to certain players. Specifics weren't revealed.
- Mike did not expect The Isle, in its present state, to host large tournaments like WPT events. They're not built for it as it stands now.
Looking forward to Mike answering more of our questions.

Anything new or interesting going on here? I see pretty much $1/$2nl, $2/$2/$5 PLO, and seems like only once in a while $2/$5nl during primetime hours.
I played the 2/5 during the day a for a couple months. It was a bit softer than the 2/5 at CoCo but too many competent players to make good money. You would be better off playing elsewhere.
The table logos mess me up. Because of the giant Harrahs logo I have a hard time seeing who has cards and chips.
Otherwise the casino is ok.
1/2 is good although I found a lot of short stacks during the day.
The only place in so flo for 2/5 these days is the rock. Unless u like 500 cap kennel and magic are soft still
How many Reward credits and Tier Credits do you earn playing 1/2 NL. Does the values change at the Platinum level or Diamond level vs. Gold ?
It's static. 34 TCs/hr last I heard. Generally promos do not apply to poker. Perhaps the daily TC bonus might if you play 15 hours in a day and earn 500+ TCs lol.

So, Diamond is easily possible with just over 440 hours of play annually. Need 735 hours for D+. In theory Diamond Elite is possible just through poker, but you'd have to play 7 days / week, 52 weeks / year lol.
FYI to any 2/5 regs We got 4 2/5 games yesterday with good action. I was talking to creek regs about coming here more instead of coconut creek because the pineapple killed the 2/5 action there

I’m there daily always trying to get 2/5 going, much rather play the NL then plo so please keep sending people over
Why on earth are you telling other regs and grinders to come to Harrahs when there are recs? I don't want grinders taking away my fishing money.
Seems like people are turned off by the new high hands.
