If Hard Rock runs anything close to the tournaments they do in Fort Lauderdale it will be incredible.

Yep. Poker is stated as part of their NYC plan, and entering a market that has no poker is worlds away from entering a market that has one 900lb gorilla. (Though if they could have anticipated the mess MGM was going to make of Borgata, maybe they would have taken a shot.)

I'm not saying they definitely won't I just don't think it's a foregone conclusion that they definitely will especially early on.

Yea definitely doesnt mean poker is off the table, just they not giving out details yet. For poker they need to hire a specific staff to train and learn how to deal poker especially different variants.
It is worth mentioning, even though the first opening is a partial rollout, if they actually open 250 tables between March and June, it’s already a massive casino at that point. The data’s a little annoying to aggregate but it’s almost definitely a top 5 casino by table count instantly.
The need to train a separate dealer and management team is the obstacle but I still think we mighttttttttttt get poker in March and I would be sooooooooooooo happpppyyyyy
Most likely they will bring management and dealers from other properties who are versed in poker to ease the opening up
This is fantastic that we have chance of poker in next few months. I hope they have plo and sell salami sandwiches.
