Resorts World (Las Vegas, NV)

Anybody checked it out yet? From what I've heard the tables are rather small and the lines to get chips / cash out are rather long, but since they only opened a few days ago (and some parts of the resort are not even open as they're still under construction), hopefully they can work out the poker room kinks quickly.

The last time I was in Resorts World LV, there was this special $5/$5 game with funky rules (like a small blind bounty, dealer's choice bomb pots, winner always has to show one card, and more) that they said ran 3x a week there. I think it had moved from Westgate to Sahara to RWLV or something like that.

Is this special game still running at RWLV, and if so, which nights of the week does it run?

Thank you!

it's a 2/3 deepstack game, and it runs wednesday/friday/sunday most weeks. small blind bounty, dealers choice bomb pots on dealer change/time collection, and winner has to show one card are always in effect.

$600 minimum buy-in, no maximum. i'm local, and play in it most weeks at least one of the sessions.

Ah right, it was $2/$3 not $5/5. Thanks for the info!

As long as that 300/600 game stays there the room will be open, the cost of reserving that game pays for the 4 people they have working there.

Doubtful, too much space being wasted as the room now is dead. I don't see it being open much longer.

What is a small blind bounty?

The dealer button gets $5 added to the top of it every time it moves. If the small blind wins the hand, they win not only the pot but all the money on the dealer button. If any other position wins, nothing happens to the bounty, it just moves with the dealer button to the next position and they add their $5, etc.

When I played this game last year I never saw the small blind bounty get to be more than maybe $40, but the regulars were saying there's been plenty of times that it's gotten to over $100 before a small blind wins it.

I don't remember what happens to the bounty on the final hand of the night before the game breaks, and I believe the first dealer button of the game has to actually put $6 on instead of $5 because the white chip helps people visualize if the new dealer has plopped their redbird on or not.

Room is closing at the end of the month as per a post on Twitter:

That is a huge bummer, it's m favorite room on the strip. Looking forward to playing the 2/3 game on the 29th if I can get in! I land that day...

Really nice room yes, so it's a bummer although not surprisingly. I am arriving the 24th, will try to play one last cash game session or daily tournament there before they close.
