Because they can't get dealers. They can't get more than 12 tables open on saturdays with 130 on the list for 1-2. I think it has to do with the hiring process for dealers holding them up
lol cool overreaction
they had a single Friday night a week after reopening where the list got up to 100+ names
they have been running 15-16 tables since then without problem

Yeah maybe I was overreacting a bit its looking better tonight 15 tables open theres just not a lot to get excited about around here these days
Hopefully soon since the new twin river room is turning into a failure. Someone said in that thread that the foxwoods room was moving next month idk where they got that info tho
So you are expecting a significant portion of the player pool, primarily MA and RI players, to drive the 45-90 minutes to Foxwoods because they were short some dealers on a couple of occasions? Good luck with that.

The player pool knows at this point to avoid twin on the weekends thats why the lists aren't 120+ anymore. Twin cant open more than half their tables on a weekend. Foxwoods doesn't exactly give an F about poker but at least they run daily tournies and milti day tournies that twin could never do so you're F'in right players are gonna drive and extra half hour to play ESPECIALLY in a brand new room near general casino populaton. Mark my words foxwoods will be booming again and ballys poker room will be converted to slots within 3 years thanks to the dealers union
They actually just officially announced it the other day that its going to fox tower. I think where the old food court used to be. No timeline on that but I'm assuming its downsizing quite a bit. Anywhere is a better location than its at now and at least it'll be back in an active casino next to a couple bars and non reg foot traffic..
At first, I didn't like this idea because I usually park at the other end and Fox Tower is a long walk away. But this is actually a really good spot. It's near a parking garage entrance and the Outlets. Lots more foot traffic

Those greedy dealers and their 2006 Honda Civics. Don't forget the teachers and firefighters unions too, the cause of all our problems.

lol you're really comparing public sector unions to card dealers that absolutly don't need "representation" to earn a living based on their performance? Socialism only breeds laziness and thats why your dealers are lazy and awful.
Any idea when the Tuesday 10am tourney usually wraps up? Appreciated
Sadly almost midway through the summer… any updates on when the new poker room is supposed to open up? Has anyone taken a peek inside the construction??
I asked last time I was there in May and someone told me it got bumped to september 1st and it will be two floors? For all we know they coulda scratched it and loaded the new space with slots it wouldn't surprise me one bit lol
Just my monthly bump here.. has anyone heard anything at all about the new room opening date? Can someone ask the room manager maybe? I want to book some nights but want to make sure it's open by then. I told myself I would never go back to that depressing rat infested dead end room they have now sorry and thank you if anyone answers
Word is the move will be Sept. 9
Definitely a nicer look than the current room. Anyone know how many tables? Will they be holding more tourney series?
Looks good but still no 24 hours (which would cause MS to go 24) so who cares really

They haven't held a real tourney series since before covid I doubt we'll ever see another megastack. Maybe the new room will spark something idk. Is it 35 tables? How many tables? I can't believe they arent going 24 hrs either maybe the demand for poker at those hours will dictate change going forward. I'm excited for the new room I still love foxwoods LFG
As they are moving into a smaller area with less tables my impression would be that their commitment to tournaments will DECREASE not increase.
don’t see any shufflers cut in yet in pictures.
guess they will change them this week or monday when closed.
nice room better then I thought

They aren't real pictures just renderings.. real tables have shufflers, cup holders etc.
35 tables is plenty for daily tournament action they rarely get 200+ even with re entries. If they held a series they have ballrooms close by now but who knows what the plan is
Anyone else see that shrine and red lantern closed permanantly this weekend? Just when I thought the new poker room would be getting more foot traffic its already turning into rainmaker 2.0 lmao

Yeah that is hilarious, typical for the poker room's 'luck'.
But I mean.. they have to replace Shrine with something, right?
As of yesterday still no procedure how to or what time they will let players in room with no call in or kiosk first day.
All I got from floor was most likely a cluster fk line around casino with people cutting in fighting for a seat est.
Maybe give out numbers or vouchers couple hours before opening or something like.
Good luck if your going try next tuesday.
