I see on poker atlas 2/5 max raised to 1k. Can anyone confirm this ?

I'm also interested in what the room has been like lately. How are the games?

Am I right about the rake? Includes a $2 drop up to $6 bucks at 60? Then $2 for promos?

I also read on poker atlas they rake uncalled bets. Is that true?

As of October 2023, when I last went here, rake is 10% + $1 up to $6 on a $50 pot. No flop necessary. Stealing the blinds in a 2/5 game wins you $5 and the house $2.

The worst is that although they actually will lower the max to $4 on $30 when short handed but only if you ask. Apparently they made it a point of emphasis to the dealers not to lower the rake unless somebody asks each time. Also non alcoholic drinks are not provided, as a soda was $2.50. And you are paying for that soda if you want one as there were no comps of any kind.

Be aware that at the Regency location the low stakes PLO games are now being taken over by the local hood gangsters and southern Georgia home game players. They will team up at tables and obvious collusion betting takes place. Most only buy in for the minimum and play scratch off poker trying to run it up with junk hands. They will check it down to each other if no one else enters the pot. Dealers and floor are well aware of the situation but choose to do nothing as they are happy that the tables get filled with players and the house gets their action/rake.

I might be traveling to Jacksonville area in December and saw BestBet. Now I noticed there are a few different locations. There is the original Jacksonville location, Orange Park and all the way down in St. Augustine.

My question is of the 3 venues, any major differences between them? Is one venue nicer than the other? Which one has the most players during the weekend? I will look up stats on Pokeratlas but wanted to see any good info that can be provided on the different venues. Thanks.

The main one is definitely going to be your best option. You can check online which games are running. OP is tiny and ghetto compared to the other one and St Augustine has a lot less traffic, GL

What are the Omaha games like? Min and Max buyins, straddles, etc? Looks like they get 1/2 and 5/5 PLO regularly?

1-2 runs all the time. 800 cap. soft. lots of hit and run and short stacks. 5-5 starts most afternoons, uncapped, can be nit or amazing depending on lineup. straddle utg only in those. bomb pots on dealer changes. 5-10 does not run often but that allows Mississippi, run it twice etc
