I just renewed my license and applied for the Real ID today which takes 5-10 business days to receive. I am leaving Monday to drive from PA to CA to visit family and will be making stops at various casinos along the way and they said my current license will no longer scan which I did not think would be an issue beacuse I'm 40 and bald and never get carded at my home casino or generally in public. I didnt think about venues that scan everyone.

Im also hitting Detroit, Chicago, Iowa and South Dakota if anyone knows of casinos that scan everyone who enters.

The last 4-5 times I was there they did not ask for ID.
They appeared to be checking only those who looked remotely close to 21.
And if I remember correctly, they did not scan it, just glanced at DOB
Obviously not a guarantee, but I think if you look over 30 you've got a good chance of getting through
