Casino Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

Casino Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

Hi,

I've searched for old threads on the subject and found 4, but all rather old and as limits, rake, action etc changes a lot I wanted to ask if anyone has some new updated info on the Live poker scene in Barcelona?

As we are thinking about going to Barcelona for a week to have some paella and sangria and play some poker I would like to ask a few questions.

As far as I can see there is only the Gran Casino for poker?
Hows the action now a days and at what hours of the day?
Are there many tables open every day and which limits?
And is the rake still crazy at €15-20 a pot?

Cant seem to find anything on their homepage except about tournaments, so hope someone here can help with an update from Barcelona .

Cheers,
GBP

Geez - saw this bumped and thought it might be interesting update. I played there in 2006 while on a 2 week trip to Spain (Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Barcelona) with my wife, sister and then bil. We ended up in Barcelona and it was the best of the stops, Stayed in a nice apartment downtown - great meals. Managed to get away to this casino on our last night there,

Navigated the subway system to the club. Got there and found the lowest game offered (all were lhe) was like 15-30 euros - the exchange rate made it more like 20-40 and at the time I was playing 3-6 and 4-8. Bit of a jump and I considered not playing but decided wth and bought in for (I think) 300 euros. Pocket Ks first hand and then a straight and I was quickly up about 300. Then sun run ended and I ground down to about 80 up. Figured it was a good time to leave and then found that the subway system shut down at midnight. Got home by taxi using my 2 years of poorly learned and poorly remembered college Italian on the non English speaking cab driver. Good times.
