Twin River Casino is adding poker to their selection of table games.
According to a news release, 16 poker tables will be built inside the casino’s new poker room and eight traditional games, such as Blackjack, will round out the other additions. Twin River Chairman John Taylor said the gambling expansion will create 120 more jobs.
“An important part of our business philosophy has been to listen to what our customers want, and the addition of a poker room is one of most often heard requests,” said Taylor in a statement. “We’re thrilled to increase the number of table games we currently offer, which also means we will expand our workforce once again.”
The addition is meant to fill out the non-smoking floor of the casino, in order to replicate the gaming experience on Twin River’s first floor.
“We’re consistently looking for new opportunities to deliver an exciting gaming and entertainment product in a customer friendly environment.”
274 slot machines will be removed to accommodate the new tables.
The new games are slated to be operational by August.
10 handed, $10 a half, shitty comps
Someone has made a claim of edge sorting being an advantage in a poker game. GR discusses what edge sorting is and how it works (or worked for Ivey). As he clearly covers, edge sorting as he accurately describes does not provide any edge in poker because it is not controllable.
So what I asked is how could edge sorting generate EV at poker because edge sorting can't. Now, again as GR addressed, if the cards are inconsistent in a manner that allows identifying particular cards (or even suits), tho
I brought this to their attention in 2016, and frequently since then, it is not directly edge sorting though that’s the easiest way to describe it. Due to a lack of white borders, corners can be unique, and depending on the deck it can be very stark with certain cards, and is absolutely a threat to gaming integrity. If anyone doesn’t think this is the case I’m happy to meet there and we can sit next to each other and on hands of my choosing (again, it’s not every time with every deck but there are some hands where myself or someone keen, sitting directly next to you, can know with 100% certainty that you don’t have a certain card, and I will give you 1000:1 odds on having a specific card and we can play this game in perpetuity. Anyone who doesn’t think it’s a threat to the game integrity doesn’t understand the situation fully.
No one is using edge sorting. The circles on the cards are barely visible if you look at your neighbor. I'm there about 20hrs a week at the 5/10. Come and edge sort me plz.
If you can Identify a 1/16th of an inch corner circle at distance in one of the darkest poker rooms in the country and be lucky enough that it's the top card that I hold and find a spot to utilize that information then you deserve some money from me. I'm happy to yield that "edge" to fill more seats.
1) If the person is next to you it’s not at a distance
2) it also can apply to every mucked card, always applies to the burns, and the stub depending on how the dealer sets it down

Edge sorting is NOT how you should describe this because as has been well discussed here ITT, edge shorting (while also due to how cards were physically cut/sliced) is very different. In fact edge sorting actually required a border. That is why when very stated, I asked for how. There is not a means to achieve edge shorted deck in poker.
What you describe, again as has been mentioned here, is a marked deck. So call it what it is and you MIGHT get someone's attention. You use the wrong words and you will get the wrong response.
Now if you have called it 'marked cards' and TRC has done nothing is 9 years, they probably disagree with you. If you are certain your are correct, talk to gaming commission. But again, you need to use the right words and have the right attitude.
BTW, that you are still playing there 9 years later does give me pause to use a grain of salt in my opinion of the situation. But since I have never been and don't foresee ever playing there (at least not more than maybe 3 times), I am not worried for me.

I should clarify, I’m not in the area very often but when I am there I note that the cards are still the same and that the powers that be should care about it, it’s not like I’ve been sitting in the room every day with this issue. Edge sorting was the closest thing I could think of to describe it I apologize to you for using the wrong terminology to describe decks that are marked when they leave the factory.
