Hollywood Casino (Bangor, ME)
Just made my first of many future trips to this fine establishment. All in all I was pretty pleased. There are def some kinks to work out: the dealers are on the slow side and some seem new to poker entirely, no free drinks (wtf?), need to add more tables. But hey it just opened so I'll cut them some slack for now.
I can see myself hitting it up 3-4x a week. Anyone else?

I wouldn't hold my breath until there's a physical date - that casino is a ffing clown show
Well it looks like they're hiring dealers, so fingers crossed. Its been 4 years, ridiculous.
Word is the room will be open in June.

Poker Room is open ! Thursday -Friday 2pm -1145 pm. Saturday - Sunday Noon til 11:44. Spreading 1/2 and 2/5 NL Hold’em on 3 tables soon to be 4. Waitlists are long in the late afternoons and nights .
played yesterday
2 tables going, neither was full - later went to one table but play stopped at 11:30
terrible comps getting only 33 cents an hour
dealers were all inexperienced and it showed but they were all very nice and pleasant which is huge
most of the time was 5 or 6 handed
everyone was a bit conservative, the really bad players only bought in for 100 so no real good spots or anything
pretty sure the guy who sat next to me and left for like half an hour periodically was shooting up in the bathroom (i've found needles in the private bathrooms down the hall towards hotel reception before)
pretty meh game imo but glad it was running
