They were recently added to the Bravo live app.

Does that mean they are getting close? (December apparently)

From google maps comments 2 weeks ago, it looks like the tent temp poker room closed now. (This matches w/ the 0 tables on the Bravo live app) Does anyone know if this is going to be closed until December as they transition?

Seems like these 2 things are related, but I wasn't sure if bc its new to Bravo Live, its just not showing the table count yet...

Based on the Bravo page it looks like they are opening in December and currently have plans to spread "a variety of games including NLHE, LHE, and PLO". I messaged the contact listed in the hopes of starting a dialog to encourage spreading mixed games. The phrasing used makes it seem like they are at least considering stud and draw games as well.

I received this reply:

“We are able to spread stud and also draw.

But the dealers will be green.

Maybe we could omit draw until we are more established.

Basically it sounds like if there is demand for it, mix games can be spread. At any rate, I’m glad to see they have apparently cleared any gaming commission hurdles for draw and stud games already. I would encourage anyone interested in playing mixed games there to contact them like I did to express interest. Click the email icon near the top of their Bravo listing.

Opening Dec 12

Where are you seeing this?

There’s nothing new on their website or the Bravo app.

I forget the source, but I read an article from a newspaper or maybe a TV station website that announced it as Dec. 12.

Their website main page has a link that says follow our progress. Link takes you to their Facebook page which states dec 12th opening date.

Good selection of games, wish it was a little closer to the DMV but might have to make the journey to Danville to check out the action

This gave me the idea to do the same with my question and I guess I wasn't as excited about the answer I got. The rake will be $7 (plus $2 for a jackpot drop) just like at Cherokee (which I admit should not have been that much of a surprise since it is the same corporation partnering with the same tribe). Reading between the lines, I got the feeling the poker manager, who was the guy that answered also thinks it is ridiculously high.

I responded by asking " Other than Cherokee and soon you guys, I am unaware of any casino in the US charging as high as $7, even Caesars properties. Anybody else, including Caesar's properties charge that much or more?"

His answer was "I have been in Poker for 27 years I do not know of many that charge this rake. Just Hollywood Park in California."

Anyway, no matter who made the decision, my enthusiasm to drive 2 hours and 15 minutes to play here when it opens is not very high anymore.

I got invited to the grand opening on Dec. 11/12. Does anyone know if the poker room will be open on the first day and what games I can expect to be available?

Yes, the poker room expects to be open the same day as the casino opens. Both of those events have been publicized as Dec. 12. Not sure what games to expect, other than NLH at blinds of 1,2, 1,3, and/or 2,5. A bigger game might go, and PLO might happen. I am likely to be there, and will try to do something more fun, like dealer's choice which would include several stud and draw variations as options.

Anyone interested in being added to a WhatsApp chat for getting mixed games going at Caesars pm me. I'll definitely be there on opening day and hope to get a weekly (or more frequently) 20/40 mix and/or whatever limits we can get going.

Yes, by far. Will be about 1.5 hours drive, compared to 3 hours to Portsmouth, 5.5 hours to MD casinos, and 6 hours to Cherokee. I will let the poker room manager know there are already a few of you interested in playing mixed on opening day.

What time would work for people as a start time, and what limits would you prefer? I'm open to 4-8 up to 30-60. I just want to pick the limit that will get the most interest. I'm very happy to play 4-8 and teach people the games, if that is what many players would like.

I'd play up to 20-40 if it's games I already somewhat know (mainly HORSE games). If people want to significantly expand beyond that, I'd rather play for somewhat lower stakes.

I'd be down for 20/40 SORBET (badugi and 2-7TD with the non-Hold 'em HORSE games) or whatever we can play. It'd be nice to help their dealers learn these games as well so I'd hope they rake per hand and not down since I'm sure the dealers will be slower initially.

I can be there any time, but how about starting at 1 or 2?

Poker room manager (George) told me they will open at noon opening day.

I will be hosting a 10-20 LIMIT (5,10 blinds) Dealer's Choice game on opening day 12/12, start time about 1pm. When it is your turn, you can pick any game they are allowed to deal, but you can't pick holdem. We will play an orbit of your game, then the next player picks. If you want to play, and are fairly certain you will be there on time, please let me know here. I need to know what name you go by on the board, and I will give a list of names to the poker manager a day or two in advance. If we get enough interest, there will be two games. See you there!!

Will there be hookers provided or do we have to bring our own? Asking for a friend.
