You can’t retire at 40 with 2-300k even if you believe the most optimistic version of how the next 10 years will go. I don’t think there’s any chance he can actually save 10-20k a year unless he does something that drastically changes the equation for him. It’s not going to come from poker.

I also disagree that he will retire from poker. In one of his best years ever, 1 of 3 or potentially 4 years of full time play, that is equal to approximately 1/7th of his total poker income, he was only able to save 2k, the majority of the mythical 100k portfolio that’s been speculated about just couldn’t have come from poker if he’s only able to save so little on what is one of his best years when his expenses are extremely low to a point where sometimes he sleeps in his car and starves himself in order to save money. Idk how he would’ve gotten that money, but it’s not from poker.

In today's video he says he is #2 in the all-time poker videos published, he wants to catch Trooper who has over 2000 videos and says in 5 years he can do it since Trooper is in the candy business now.

He also is totally resigned to the fact that he will never play above 2/5nl and he will probably never have a winning day above his current highest day which he probably listed in another video, does anyone know what it is?

2.5-3k? Biggest pot he won was $2200ish with AK at Potawatomi, like 8 years ago.

Just another thing that Diesel is dominating at, it's a shame he was never nominated for poker vlogger of the year!

I think his plan to retire "from poker" is to scrape by for a while and then inherit money and a house from his parents. #pokerlife.

Real friends hold each other accountable and don't let their pals ruin the course of their lives on their own spiraling delusions.

This newest diesel thing really just blows me away, its so factually incorrect where you can go on youtube and look these people up.

I understand maybe you dont count Bart Hanson even though its all him on his page because it has a company name, maybe you dont even count Jonathan Little because part of the name is his company despite all of the videos being him. Both of their videos, as far as i can tell are all about poker, talking about people playing poker and giving advice, sounds kindve similar to alot of el diesels videos! They both talk about hands they played, both have vlogs that they do

So you dont count Daniel for some reason, even though hes the most famous person in poker, and has been there since hte poker boom and was an active part of hte poker boom. He famously does vlogs every summer where he gets into all sorts of altercations and has run ins with people regarding his vlog and with his camera.

Daniel Negreanu: 826 videos

EVEN if you dont count these people, theres still 4 people, who all are bigger than you, and 3 of the 4 are bigger than the trooper! How can you deny reality to this level? I understand people live in their own realities alot of times now with how many rabbit holes there are to go down on the internet but this is just so crazy.

Alec Torelli has more subs and viewers regularly than trooper, and makes all vlogs from what i can see. 762 videos. Alec was apart of ship it holla ballas, hes been famous in poker since like 2006

Lex Veldhuis has almost 3x as many subs as teh trooper, he regularly gets 20k+ views, thats like 3-4x what trooper usually has gotten in the last year, has 1.1k videos. Lex was on the original high stakes poker, hes been poker famous since whenever that was, he has played ICONIC hands on high stakes poker, the call vs Doyle and the hand where Ivey bluffed him with 42 or whatever

Jaime Staples has 2x the subs trooper has, he has 2.1k videos on one channel, and 300 on another channel of his. All of his videos are playing poker or streaming poker, hes streaming right now

David Kaye poker, never heard of him, but regularly gets more views than el diesel, has 6x as many subscribers, has 1k videos.

And again, this also doesnt include Jnandez, wolfgang and Bencb which all do vlogging to some degree, but all their videos are about poker and i know wolfgang is like the number 1 guy, and im just not sure on theirs because idk if reels count as videos, i know thats a big part of wolfgangs whole strategy.

What is going on, someone help me understand how he came to the conclusion he is 2nd and that trooper is 1? IN WHAT? Because in things he said and laid out, Trooper isnt even 2, and Diesel is 10th and thats only because i stopped looking to play nba 2k, i bet i could find more

Foatie I just watched it again because maybe I’m missing something, he just says poker videos, he doesn’t even include vlog, which again, he wouldn’t be #2 in the vlog format either, he just says videos, its really really crazy stuff. It’s a denial of reality. One is literally Daniel negreanu, who famously makes vlogs!

Adding to that he is manic in that video.
