Why do you think he is a whale?

I would call river not too happy about it. We only have 8 hands but it seems this is not his first 3bet whcih makes me more enthusiastic about river.

50/25 and bad 3bet sizing

Whales like to check their big hands OTF

But they'll also use much smaller sizes with their bluffs and will rarely be all-in by the river.

I'd fold

Raise turn. So many things a whale will call of w/ on that turn. As played, leaning call. He can def value worse, and there's enough busted draws in there for it to be +EV. If he has Tx, then so be it. But these kinds of whales will turn up w/ 7x and all sorts of stuff, so you just have to call wider as you know.

And you're not a fish, you're a MDA machine.

You believed in me at 10nl so I really appreciate you! (also a huge thank you for getting me unbanned)

Okay so if you are raising are you going small to put AK/AJ in tough spots or do you just jam?

Why are we considering folding the nuts on the river?

Why are we considering folding the nuts on the river?

I snap called in game. My WTSD is over 36% so I probably call too much.

I was just curious on how people perceived the spot.

I would be on the fence about calling, but i think i overfold against this type of line. My pool doesn't do this often either.

Yes, of course. Yw! It was easy to see you were a good player, and you were taking chances, and being willing to fail. That's how you succeed.

So one thing we know about whales, they like to gambool. Since stack sizes are a little strange for anything other than a shove, I'd just move in. Get all the value from his draws, as I don't think we can expect him to bluff often enough on whiffs (sometimes, of course yes).

What can we beat here vs their range that is not a bluff?

We can't beat xT, 77, QQ, or AQ.

On the plus side we don't block any spade so flush drawing is a possibility.

Wouldn't our hand just a bluff catcher at this point? To be profitable they would have to bluffing more than 33% of the times in this spot.

you have 8 hands on the guy - The stats are useless at such few hands.
