That's just unfair.

The dejected body language from Jabari says it all.

Try that in baseball and they'll assault you with a deadly weapon.

Cool pic

Oh, Al Horford is shooting 42% from 3 and 89% on FTs. That's pretty good.

Above average Al this season

On July 10, 2019, the Clippers traded Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, five first-round draft picks, and the rights to swap two other first-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Paul George.

lol

has okc gotten anything with those picks yet? would just be some sweet, sweet gravy at this point

Clippers trade: SGA, Gallinari, 2022 first-round pick, 2024 first-round pick, 2026 first-round pick, first-round picks via Miami in 2021 and 2023 and the rights to swap picks with the Clippers in 2023 and 2025.

2021 1st rounder: Tre Mann
2022 1st rounder: J-dub who is already becoming a star

lololol

2023 first-rounder (via Miami): So this one is a little complicated. The Heat owed the Thunder a lottery-protected first-round pick in 2023 which was set to stay under those same lottery protections through 2025 before becoming unprotected in 2026. But OKC and Miami renegotiated those protections. The Thunder took on KZ Okpala’s contract and sent a second-round pick to Miami, which freed up a roster spot for the Heat. In return, the Heat pushed back the protections on the pick. It’s now lottery protected for 2025 only before becoming unprotected in 2026. Basically, the Thunder wanted to maximize the chances of the pick becoming unprotected. TBD on how it shakes out. Had the pick not been renegotiated, it would’ve conveyed to the Thunder as the 18th pick in the 2023 draft. Miami instead kept that pick, and the Heat didn’t miss by drafting Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Still to come: 2024 first-round pick (unprotected from Clippers), right to swap with Clippers in 2025, 2025 first-round pick (lottery protected via Miami, becomes unprotected in 2026 if it doesn’t convey in 2025), 2025 second-round pick (protected via Atlanta), 2026 first-round pick (unprotected from Clippers).

^ That is ****ing wild.

Tornado watch in my area right now, but there's a QUAD DUB WATCH in Denver.

Tornado watch in my area right now, but there's a QUAD DUB WATCH in Denver.

Yeah I was trying to pull it into overtime.

I'd like to see a 20/20 stat along with the triple dub. As in 20 points and 20 total rebounds/assists (with at least 5 of each). These guys, Jokic, Doncic, Sabonis, barely miss a triple double so often with two of the three and 8 or 9 of the other.

A quick scouting report

If you have the ball and no dribble, do not try to shoot if Wemby standing next to you.

All these trying to go under/around and hook shots are just getting effortlessly blocked.

Pass out!

Triple double is such a silly stat in general. 10 points is ridiculously easy. It's very rare for a player to get a double double without the points. And some guy who gets 46 points 16 rebounds and 9 assists doesn't get a triple double because it's such an arbitrary number to reach. Then some clowns go about completing a triple double with a fake rebound or an overly pursued assist. Basically just a toxic stat because we humans have a special math association with the number 10.

Or you could just not care about triple doubles

What's funny about it? Every GM in the NBA does that trade.

You think being on a poker forum would be the place not to be results orientated.

Doc Rivers didn’t wanna do it until he was told it was just not a trade for PG13 but also for Kawhi who would then sign.

So yes, you make that deal. But lolz @ results

i think even a 2p2 gm'd franchise makes that deal as well

SGA did not look like a superstar at the time, very few in the NBA did either given he was drafted 11th the year before

I could be mistaken, from I recall him being included more so about needing to the make the salaries work in a deal for picks, not for him

I’d rather have one SGA than 3 PG-13’s

See the problem with PG is he’s like the guy in the PG13 rated movie everybody’s really hoping makes it happen. He needs to be like the guy in the Rated R movie. The guy you’re not sure about. You don’t know where’s coming from.

SGA and Jdub both out tonight. I believe the Thunder don’t even want to get the #1 seed cuz the the Lakers have owned their soul in all 3 games this season. They also have no one to guard AD and no Twig boy doesn’t count.

would you rather PG13 Paul or r-rated Paul date your daughter though?

also back to the trade, kawhi was coming off leading an otherwise pretty bad raps team to a championship and he'd won them before in SA as well so it didn't feel like a fluke

his stock was at an all time high and just being able to get him, let alone the idea of building a super team around him felt like a no brainer

and... al the picks were assumed to be worthless since LAC was supposed to be so dominant for the next few years anyway - why take a random with the 28th pick next year to stash in the g league anyway?

Bad Toronto team?

They were loaded that year.

Lowry/Siakam as the 2nd 3rd option. Lowry has always been a team elevator.

Gasol/Ibaka. Gasol was in his last year before he was washed but his defense against Embid especially and Giannis in the playoffs were critical. Raps don't win game 7 without Serge Ibaka.

FVV / Norm off the bench. FVV got a finals MVP vote!

Danny Green was competent.

Kawhi carried them through the Sixers series but it was winning team basketball after down 0-2 to Milwaukee.

Otherwise terrible team my ass no wonder you're on the side of the pee pee peepers!

Without Kawhi they got to the 2nd round the next year.

Davis & Durant probably round out the second team.

Third team: Steph, LeBron for sure.
Haliburton and Booker are sliding but still have a case. Jaylen Brown I think is #15. Sabonis #16 with a chance to get on.
If you do a fourth team, Victor is there. I’d put him 17 without having dived into any stats.
I’d round out the top 20 with Gobert, George, & Maxey.

Top 25 locks: Adebayo & Williamson.
Rounding out team 5, Markkanen, Jarrett Allen, & either Fox or DeRozan

A hypothetical 6th team would have H

Yeah rethinking it and would be tough to leave off Sabonis / Brown.

But think of it as a narattive pick!

And as a narattive pick it would build up his hype.

When he's better next year no one will say **** about it then.

**** Boston too.

how many of those draft picks did cphoya see the penis of though?
