I done my words before I sent the PM to the other 2 but when it's my turn to guess someone else will have to do it

Cool, I only feel good about one of them, so a solid negative score incoming. It’d also be helpful if team members would try to only capitalize when it’s part of the clue, which seems like two of you didn’t take into account this round.

1. Windies, cruise, Pirates - I don’t know what windies are, but I’m between sail and ship. I want to go with sail because of the wind bit, but I think cruise and pirates more intuitively clue ship.
2. Cone, yearn, Crave - I have no idea how cone fits with yearn and crave, but yearn and crave are both synonyms for desire/want. Between the two, I’ll go with desire.
3. Roman, Dominican, People's - all are great ways to clue republic
4. Kettle - thinking cup may have been duped, so going with tea
5. Time, expire, Pass - expire and pass are both euphemisms for die. I don’t know how time fits as well, but I think I’ll just stick with die rather than overthinking it.

1. Not sure about galloping but gourmet is refined cuisine and maybe Galloping Gourmet is a thing since it’s capitalized. Don’t think it has anything to do with horses and words like processed seem worse. Dunno.

2. sabatoge maybe? Hopefully they duped Beastie if so. Could be a lot of other words also, so this is a long shot guess.

3. Not subtraction, so not addition. I think just add works for plus and subtract. Could also just be math, tho, but tons more options y’all coulda gone if it’s math so probability wise add is more likely bc not a ton of options for it and these are 3 of them.

4. cast with Away being a great clue

5. Annie and Oliver! are broadway musicals. Can’t think of any Black ___ musicals tho and it’d be a big coincidence that you both passed over Rent, Phantom, Miserables, etc etc to pick the two musicals about orphans while there is a show called Orphan Black

1, Going to go with homework on this one. Studying and assigned could go with a couple of things but “dog” eating homework just seems like the fit here.

2. Agender can’t be the answer, and probably not likely a used word anyway. I am thinking neutral but not worth risking a guess on that. Pass

3. Going to pass again. Too many options (against, across, facing, reverse, etc)

4. Thinking not guilty but with two words that can’t be it. Innocent not legally the same as not guilty (i.e acquitted) but feel like that is what you are going for here with the clues. Innocent

5. The guy in Airplane the movie was an ex fighter pilot with bad flashbacks …lol. A roll is an evasive dogfighting maneuver, and a bogey is a probable enemy fighter aircraft. Thinking that if this was pilot I am getting things like aviator, captain, Lindberg, etc. If it was fighter I am not getting all three aircraft related clues. Boxing or MMA would be in there. So, am going for dogfight and hoping it is correct.

Sorry guys on 5. Dogfight just happened to accidently fit as well.. Your clues were good, I just went the wrong direction.

Symbols are allowed, but that’s tough because that symbol can mean hyphen but also can mean minus, so I woulda had him reclue; I guess you just did “symbol” as his clue

the rule is people can’t clue the word itself in any form (diff language, symbol, emoji, etc) but can clue it for other reasons; like can’t clue $ for dollar or currency but could for rich or economy
