Just One Game Thread
lol I thought this might be a miss so I went cheese so that you would not pick cheese for a -1. Getting that point was bonus imo.. g job team.
Thought of it but it is such a common surname... I figured Wendelstedt would have worked for either insanity or housenuts.
Umpire was hardest one to clue for imo. Was worried about duping and not too many things get you there.
Was mostly thinking baseball, strike, referee, Angel, Hernandez. The latter two could go so many different ways.
Good job team.

I'm not going to push this hard, but I don't think Muppet was a legal clue there.
Why not?
Is flip legal for flop?
If muppets aren't puppets, I see your point, but they are puppets. Think it's a fine clue.
Like for table, I agree you can't clue able.
Clueing mouse for house which be interesting. Mouse in the house is an expression. That's more borderline that muppet for puppet imo.
Yeah I think muppet is fine as they are actual puppets, mouse/house not sure about probably leaning towards no
I think the issue is muppet/puppet have same base word
Muppets are muppets cuz theyre surreal
'idiot' would've been a great clue for muppet, although that might be British slang lol
Just waiting on Nich for his clues

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Muppet...
The Muppets were created by puppeteer Jim Henson in the 1950s; Henson claimed, but later recanted, that he coined the term Muppet as a portmanteau of the words marionette and puppet.

We ran kinda bad here cause I bet all of us wanted to clue pine but were afraid it would dupe. I got scared to do traffic thinking it may also dupe, but then none of us even did pine sadly and my orange by itself isn't solvable

5. Wrexham
1. stiff hopefully

3. This could be about a bajillion things pass
4. bridge
5. This should maybe be a pass, but I can't imagine anyone would clue this for anything but welcome
Silence was for Silence of the Lambs as Buffalo Bill was the serial killer in it
And yeah, only reason for Wrexham
Good job 4/4
I don’t see a reason to outlaw apostrophes when we allow symbols (including ‘ )
