Just One Game Thread
In this thread we will play the hottest new social word game.
It’s a cooperative game but we can split it into teams to bring a little more competition to it.
To play the game, everyone but one person is given the secret word for that round. Then everyone submits a 1-word clue to that secret word. The mod removes any duplicate words and posts the unique clues and the one person then guesses the secret word.
If correct, we get a point; if wrong we lose a point; if isn’t sure of the word, they can

i'm ok with whatever player count; do think it'll be easier for our group with 6, but maybe the more dupes will override that and make it harder; often there are only 2-3 really good clues for a word so more players means more likely to dupe on the really good words...we'll only know if we try it

I figured Noah or ark would be dupe risks, so went with the Epic of Gilgamesh. Should’ve just went with Noah.
I also went with Yankovic over Al because I didn’t want it to be confused with AI (and didn’t want to capitalize AL, because that could confuse things too).

Not that I expect it to come up again but if it does would be nice if this could be clarified in the clue.
Eg. Al (note: this is AL, not ai)
yeah I think it's fine to disambiguate between Al and AI and similar situations
(tho note that AI the capital I on 2+2 is different from lower case l)

great clues all around team
1. broom - love the curling one
2. Sudoku - I imagine this was tough to clue for. Eric combined with 9 (columns, rows and cells) and daily worked great, and Chess and Boggle were reaffirming
3. diagonal - this also seemed tough to clue for. great job. Bishop ♦ Not sure how Alley fits in but it is capitalized so maybe a song. movie, place?
4. chip - great clues. I love dumping.
5. Fantasy Island and Fantasy Football jumped right out, but Impromptu doesn't seem to fit. Fantasies usually thought about lots and planned and impromtu = spontaneous, ad hoc kind of a thing. It is capitalized so maybe a movie about a threesome or something?? Anyway, going to go fantasy here and hope threesome was duped ..lol

Nimbus and Diagon Alley (diagonally) are Harry Potter references lol and Final was duped for Fantasy
Great job! I guess I was last to submit haha, the last word in each was mine - spelled slightly differently but Impromptu was for Chopin's Fantasie-Impromptu

I figured you would have grown up watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks, but maybe it's too old of a reference to trigger anything
was pleased nobody duped Football and was confident nobody would dupe Eric...so glad someone went 9; easy for that one to go off the rails and look like just 'puzzles' or something similar

9 was me -- figured it would have some contextual value but would probably be useless if everything else duped.
