Mike should be in the hall of fame.

Negreanu asked who should be put in the hall and matusow received the most votes in the YouTube comment section. But if you ask most pros they would prefer someone like josh arieh or Jeremy Asumus.

So we have to ask ourselves... why is there a disconnect vs. The fans and the players as to who should be in the hall?

And my theory is that players don't consider entertainment value and only look at results. While fans (the ones who watch and consume poker) weigh e

I agree with your theory.

Frankly, I don’t think the HoF has been all that clear on what criteria is necessary to be put into the hall. Is it exclusively results based? Popularity? Entertainment value? I know they consider people who have made contributions to the game so maybe Matusow can be included for that reason given his draw during the poker boom.

They need to start letting 3-4 players per year into the HoF. The bottleneck is bad right now and about to get much, much worse.

As for the criteria, they don't seem to even vote along those lines. Moneymaker does not deserve to be in if we look at the actual criteria.

Matusow does not deserve it from a poker standpoint over people like Antonius, but if they are factoring in influence and TV value then maybe he warrants a spot.

Not 3 or 4, but 2 a year. There is a bottleneck, which will get worse as mentioned. Matusow does not meet the criteria, as with several others in it.

Matusow was about even for last year's WSOP and had some deep runs which could have been big $s. I don't know if he should be playing $10Ks, but he obviously has the money or backing for it. Don't know if he has trouble making a living from poker, but clearly not a big star now.

He cashed for about 330k last year, I don't know if he played anything above 25k buy in, but that seems like he did way better than about even. Of course this year he's only cashed for about 50k so he's probably down a nice chunk.

Yeah, so I assume his backer is OK with the investment. In tournaments, when you hit, you can hit really big, so there is a potential for a big return.

A lot of this stems from these people think he's still a great player when he hasn't been in ages.

When you read the comments on any of these poker vlogs including MM and DN it's apparent 95 percent of people commenting are clueless on poker.

The dude came very close to hitting me with his scooter about a week ago. To the point where I literally yelled at him to watch himself. He, of course, ignored me and carried on speeding very recklessly through the crowds.

But it made me wonder, had he hit me and I sued, would I even get anything out of him?

This happened three different times when I saw him in June. He nearly ran me over once, and the other times he refused to slow down while driving near other people. He had a look of utter frustration on his face each time, like all of these people contributing to the prize pools he hopes to take down are in his ****ing way when they are not giving him chips. He is going to hit someone. And it doesn’t seem as though he’ll much care.

On a side note, the juxtaposition of riding a scooter, an obvious sign of age and frailty, while also dying your beard to project a youthful vigor is really jarring. Example number 234 of his narcissistic personality disorder and detachment from reality.

Did Dnegs ever go to jail for dope?

It’s just like professional tennis. Every week you play a new tournament and every person except one goes home a loser

Not quite. The luck factor in professional tennis is much lower than the luck factor in poker.

Mike has cute cats, got rid of his girlfriend during WSOP, and is driving a super fast and cool scooter everywhere. He eats steaks, chicken wings and bacon, and does what he wants.

Compared to Daniel's tiny couch-pisser dogs, golddigger wife, and endless walks around the casinos. He is eating disgusting stuff like tofu and soy, and isnt allowed to get in his own bed before showering after work.

And regarding poker skill, comparing Mike Matusow to Daniel Negereanu is like comparing Mike Tyson to Ja

Hey Mike!

Either that's Mike or Parasense should change his name to Parasocial.

I guess Doyle was more careful driving his scooter around the WSOP because he had more assets people could sue for.

careful, it's hard to prove a negative

That was a very short more time, more than a decade ago.
He didnt know people used it to get high... He only took tiny bumps to focus. Chemically 90% the same as some adhd meds today, look it up...
And if you never had sex with a hot Stripper on meth for several days, you missed out big time, m8

He gifted me 500$, plays the same variants i play, and was a degen, too. Ofc i like him.

hi mike

Be like Mike, they say
Hail to the King, baby

Also, first-round losers at Wimbledon get paid ~$77,000 ($60K pounds sterling), whereas 75 of the 89 entrants in this year's PPC actually lost $50,000. So the comparison breaks down on multiple levels.

check out the grind for the lower level tennis and golf tournies instead of looking at the biggest and most prestigious outlier

I was just talking about the probability of winning. But if you want to look at monetary returns, what you just wrote supports what I said.

A friend of mine got bumped into by Doyle with his scooter at the Bellagio once but he took it as an omen of good luck and bet ten times larger on the sports bet he was about to place and won it.

The point was that you lose way more than you win (in terms of not coming in first place) in both activities
