I want to know the approximate ROI of a trained chimpanzee in a tournament populated solely by the PokerGo chat.

Yes and the same chick punts off half of her stack the next hand, sad to see.

50bb eff.
UTG open 2.5bb QQ
UTG+2 3bet 6bb KK (Open tax as Dnegs says, lil bit sus sizing here)
UTG rips for 50bb praying his opponent has AK this time...

QQ could just flat or 4bet small and fold to a shove, population doesn't trap with AA enough.

She could powerjam AK there but with QQ its just a punt.

Dude didn't leave himslef any fold equity on the river anyway.

Yeah, that was some odd sizing... surprised he didn't just go for it on the turn.

On the other hand, there was another hand were the guy shoved river with the 10s full boat and the AQ guy folded his top pair, probably because he figured "no one would bluff with so little fold equity" haha.

Nick and Ali expected in the booth at any point this week?

Not that I necessarily mind Donnie and Remko, but there's a certain magic missing.

Yes they are scheduled for the night shift later in the week.

Can say that for certain now they just reported Nick is out of the main which is a shame as he is great for poker.

Supposedly, the Ali-Nick crew starts on Day 5.

MBN to float A7 oop there and hit running 7s.

I'll will admit here that I now completely understand why I kept hearing (or reading) so many people in chat simping over Okamoto.

This hand right here…

Set of 9’s vs rivered flush.

Is why I could never play tourneys…. I don’t have the temperament for it lol

Not many people run as good as Chance Kornuth.

Ian Ohara one of the chip leaders.

He is the fat geek looking scammer who stole money from his backers and what else? Lol does he have friends in the poker scene or at the tables still? Hope people remind him of his sins at the tables.

The unlcuky Platt interview has kind of run it's course...

She crushed the Ladies event back-to-back. Zero unnecessary table talk or seeking attention. Just pure focus on the game and then smiling for a second after the hands while collecting donkeys chips.

Hopefully she runs deep.

This Dwan guy seems like a big fish.

Yeah, I had no doubt she can play. But until now, she was just a name in the results. The hand on the outer table on tonight's stream was the first time I'd actually seen her... again, now I get why there are so many fanboys in the chat. 😀

Oh cool... that guy Cody Daniels, one of the feel-good stories from last year's WSOP Main, has a stack of about 350K according to the chip counts as players still bag up for the night.

Edit - I'm dumb and don't know how to play poker, disregard...

78 isn't in the range of someone who opened with 64s?

Loved the Hellmuth interview when he's bragging about how only two people have ever wanted to know his strategy.

Brandon Cantu and Mike Matusow.

You know 2 guys that haven't won ANY tournament in over 10 years.

Oh, F*ck me, I missed 78...
Disregard everything

LOL

That was at the end of the day and she had 410k left after that hand. Must have tilted her because she ended up bagging 120k...

The correct answer is Phil Ivey!

Kornuth did decide to dust off a million dollars to Galfond in HUPLO so it's not very odd to jump to the conclusion that the man plays HSPLO

https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/25...

I get that. But Tuchman literally came out firing saying we have one of the worlds best PLO players as an introduction to Chance. Nothing about NL mtts. Even Chance was like...uumm I play NL MTTs.

Just shows how clueless he is.

What makes this different from the hand Negranau was in a bit back where the raiser mistakenly folded while Negranau was still in the hand but the raiser still got his raise back?

Action folds to button, button raises, SB folds, BB shows Jx2x, button mucks, BB claims they didn't actually fold, BB gets the full 4.5 BB. Shouldn't the BB only have received the single BB and not the raise, since BB hadn't called or raised yet?

Seems like these two situations were essentially the same but had different rulings?

...although you didn't get chatter/shenanigans out of Pollak, either...

Well, to be fair, he was the only person at the table talking. He was trying to be fun and social, but no one engaged. Everyone else at the table was trying to win the the stone-faced zombie staring contest.

... it would be pretty cool to have someone on the staff roam the room for a lively table – even if it's full of unknowns – then make the executive decision to bring them over to the featured stage...

That's a great idea. But we all know the WSOP wouldn't do that. But still, fantastic idea because if you did that enough and got on a roll of poker coverage that included funny, hilarious back-and-forth shenanigans between the players, you would then have a lot more viewership from those tuning in solely for the comedic angle, and not necessarily the poker angle. Heck, they should hire comedians to play the event and purposely stick them on the feature table to make the best jokes. Can you imagine a table with Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, or Tony Hinchcliffe, and then a couple of willing "mouthy" fellow players going at it? It could be epic and change the game.
