2024 World Series of Poker May 28th to July 17th ***No Spoilers***
The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2.
I keep hearing the commentators speak of chat during the live shows. No problem as to YouTube back then, but now that live is exclusively on PokerGo, I can't get chat. How can one get PokerGo chat on Roku, watching via TV? I see no way.
Its possible to shift through all the trash at the wsop and find a great guy.
I stopped watching the stream early last night. Did Colby Covington ever played a televised hand? They kept going back and forth from his table, and his stack kept growing, but never saw him play a hand.
Last night was a slaughterhouse for the kansas gambling contingent, though brandon does have 500,000 chips.
Shiina Okamoto has obvious star power. She is very pretty.

I watch on TV via Xbox - Microsoft Edge.. you can see the chat that way
OMG i though someone was joking when they mentioned this name in this thread before...i just assumed they meant both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were in the ME since they are known to play the ME and poker in general
I'd bet a lot of money that if you polled a poker community on whether they recognize Matt Affleck/Ben Affleck based on a photo, that Matt would win by a large margin.
What makes this different from the hand Negranau was in a bit back where the raiser mistakenly folded while Negranau was still in the hand but the raiser still got his raise back?
Action folds to button, button raises, SB folds, BB shows Jx2x, button mucks, BB claims they didn't actually fold, BB gets the full 4.5 BB. Shouldn't the BB only have received the single BB and not the raise, since BB hadn't called o
Savage defending J2 getting the whole pot and I can't comprehend why. It is the exact same set of circumstances. Player raises and mucks their hand before the last player act. I don't see where the difference is.
If he doesn't bubble this, Allen Cunningham will once again move into a tie with Johnny Chan for most lifetime cashes in the Main (11).
Did the Main reach the bubble faster than anticipated? Because if not, it seems cruel to make 7 players out of >1500 come back for a 4th day to win nothing.
Why not just schedule the tournament to play until the bubble bursts on Day 3? It's not like they played that late last night.

Yeah this could be a case to be made. I think the other side of the argument is that even with just a few players left, the bubble in the main could take HOURS. But 7 seems like a low enough number in my opinion.
Think about it, if you had 7BB after a full day of the main, would you rather bag and rest/think through your game plan or play through the bubble in a situation like this?
Table with Lonis, Lybaert, and Reichard all on a bunch of chips would be good for TV. I'd expect some fireworks there.
Does coverage begin at start of the day today? I don't trust PokerGo start time (4pm EST)

Only 6 get nothing, Bubble Boy gets 2025 buyin. Also, with 1,500+ players spread across multiple rooms, it’s probably easier to have everyone bag-n-tag, get a full 100% accurate count of exactly how many left, have extra floormen for the morning hand-for-hands, full cage staff ready for the massive march of the penguins to the payouts when hundreds bust immediately post-bubble.

You get the chat by watching PokerGo on your computer/tablet/phone, l,do.

This is a great point.
