2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
That seems good. Maybe he has money to blow.
Format matters.
I've played quite a bit of Muth, but just realized he only has 5 double digit games (PPR) in his career. However, in half PPR, he's got 13 double digit games.
So it would seem he's a better play on UD v DK. Is there any reason to think his upside would increase this season to make it worth continuing to roster him on DK?
Better play calling Canada was horrible more scoring opportunities and of course improved qb play . I expect him to average on dk about 9.7 - 12fp and it could be higher but I don’t expect lower

How can someone have fewer double digit ppr games than half ppr games?
PPR will always be greater than .5 PPR.
This is an interesting chart.
Nix or Rondale with my last pick? Thought I was good at both qb and wr, but wasn’t sure what was “correct”
Qb - Jayden, Tlaw, Nix
Rb - White, Moss, Charb, Allgeier, Gibson, Estime
Wr- Chase, Nico, Nabers, Tee, Btjr, Dotson, Franklin
Te - Kincaid, Juwan
I like Nix on that build. WR strong enough and bring back probably not as important as raising your QB floor. I still think Jayden and TLaw can have some bad floor games. I usually try to 3 QB build when I start with either Jayden or Caleb. But you can probably get away with 2 if TLaw, Tua, Goff, or Herbert is your 2nd QB.
Meanwhile, this is hilarious and a brilliant level.

Nix is the pick. Getting the stack with Franklin and Estime makes more sense. Rondale may get a couple gimmicky plays a game. I think Atlanta is gonna be a very condensed offense with little left over.
Very nice team.
Fast puppy pick 11.
This is the second time I did a reach to get the Mahomes stacks and both times I like my team. I've seen a few people do this from the 11 and 12 range. It makes a ton of sense too me. I'm only reaching on Mahomes and a little bit on Kelce. Everybody else falls into place perfectly. I've find that I often have to reach for my QB at some point anyway. I love Mahomes this year but I don't have enough of him. I grabbed Nico in round two to create a game stack Chiefs/Texans in week 16. That should be a shootout and could be the game you need to advance to the finals. I was able to get Warren as a week 17 bring back for the Chiefs. I was hoping to get Muth as well.
The draft fell in a way that I went with a few team stacks. I almost had Love fall to me way after ADP. I still like having pieces of that team.
I realize CEH was third through drills but I still threw the dart. He'd still be the passing downs guy if Pacheco went out.
QB) Mahomes, Geno
RB) Conner, Warren, Ekeler, Dowdle, Herbert, CEH.
WR) Puka, Nico, Rice, Worthy, Doubs, Wicks, M Wilson, Z Jones
TE) Kelce, Fant
It's good. I think stacking WRs without the QB is okay, but I wouldn't do it with 2 teams (GB and ARI).

Don’t Kincaid and Juwan have the same bye week ?

Do you think it's too high variance for one team?
The way I see it is if Love or Kyler have a big game hopefully one or both of the guy's I have rostered will also do well. I have Mahomes who can hopefully at the same time out score both of those QB's. It's a way of getting a piece of two QB's I like a lot but don't have on my team. Both sets of receivers play in week 17 games that should be high scoring. My Cardinals guy's correlate with Puka. My Packer guy's should have decent stand alone value and some contingency value as well. They also make a nice game stack for their week 15 game against Seattle.
I think it’s completely fine to stack wr and bring backs w/o QBs. It’s nice to have correlations and especially when you have a qb that can outscore the starter of the other stacks it’s completely reasonable
I try to do it less with teams that have running QBs since if they have 2 guys go off + you add in their rushing you likely really need that rushing qb

I would've stopped at the ARI stack since that correlates with Puka, and then just played one of the guys from GB.
On a weekly basis, it's more likely that only one of Doubs or Wicks scores enough to make your lineup. So if it's Doubs, great, now you get a 0 from Wicks when you could've rostered someone in his place that might have outscored Doubs.
Feel pretty good about this one. It’s a way different build than I’m used to (weaker wr)
CJ at 80 is happening a ton and is probably one of the best values right now
Qb - CJ, Rodgers
Rb - Breece, Mixon, Brob, Brown, CEH
Wr - Nico, Diggs, Hollywood, C Samuel, Wicks, Mwill, Bateman, R Wilson, Tez Walker
Te - Kelce, Conklin

I don't think it's bad other than Rodgers 😀

This is not the right way to think about it imo
1. we’re not playing a weekly game. Weeks 1-14 are 1 round
2. You’re making a bet on the offense out preforming expectations (and with the packers in particular you’re betting that the roles are larger than expected)… the whole point of correlating is that you’re making 1 bet instead of a parlay
3. Why can Wicks and Doubs not both have a good game if the offense is better than we expect or they break out as the top WRs?
I’m not really the biggest fan of the packers in general bc I think they most likely all have sub 20% target shares, but if you’re betting on that not being the case it’s completely fine to take multiple

I’m not really the biggest fan
Because barring injury (which can happen), it's just not likely that the WR3 and WR4 both have great games.
I don’t think anyone is taking those guys making the bet that they will be the wr3 and 4…
I don’t particularly like them that much as players but I understand why people are betting on an unclear situation by taking the 2 cheapest players in the situation
AJ Dillon just went 119 due to training camp news LMAO
Damn, I thought I was going to have a good one with Cam Akers being drafted at 199. Can't beat Dillon at 119.
I did two RB/RB starts.
Team 1:
Deshaun, Dimes, Carr
Bijan, Achane, Monty, Spears, Lloyd
Nabers, Tee, Worthy, Jamo, Shaheed, Jeudy, Pearsall, Hyatt
McBride, Juwan
Team 2:
Trevor, Maye, Fields
Breece, Achane, Spears, Davis, Dobbins
Tank, Pickens, Hollywood, BTJ, Keon, Gabe, DeMario, Osborn
Bowers, Muth
I like team 1 more. Team 2 probably needed a 6th RB or a 3rd TE over an 8th WR.

On team 1 I think that rb room is strong enough to stop at 4 (which is scary to me), but it’s not a big deal would just be nice to get 9 wr
I think team 2 is fine. Not sure Fields works as 3rd qb here given you likely are going 1qb for 5ish weeks at least
I think you needed 8th wr over the other 2 positions you listed
Those are fair criticisms. I almost clicked to Dimes on team 2, which probably would have been better, even without a stacking partner.
Starting RB/RB is just so damn tough. But I like to experiment. And then hopefully the next time I give it a go, I'll think through more things I missed the last time.
I was planning to take 4 WRs on both teams in rounds 3-6, but then McBride fell to 55 on team 1 haha.
