2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Seems dumb. Guess they really like Blake.
This is also interesting.
Was it completely reasonable to take these 2 QBs in front of the Chase owner and the bears dbl stack back to back: yes
Did it bring me a little bit more joy to do it while busting their stacks: also yes
102 Ford lol.
But nice moves haha.
I’ll definitely lock in my stacks in the 8th for that QB pocket since I don’t view the RBs that differently in the 9th and 10th. Especially with all of the casuals in the room.
Chase guy was SOL, but I would have 100% taken Caleb at 91 if I had two Bears. Pretty ironic since he pulled Kyler up to 54.

Yep definitely okay to reach. Maybe even recommneded.
In what few drafts I have left. My strategy is simple.
Rounds 1-10
Only RB I'm taking in the 1st is Bijan. Otherwise the focus will be on WR until I get to 5 total. Only taking other positions if they fall at least 5 spots past ADP.
Goal is to end up with 5 WR and 3 RB. I'll take what I can get at QB and TE.
Rounds 11-14
Value hunting and looking for QBs to stack
Rounds 15-20
Reach-city, baby. Focus on stacks and correlation.
It doesn't get any worse than this, right?
Dayton Wade has been cut by the Ravens. I previously predicted with confidence that he would be this years Tank Dell.
Diggs at 60, wtf?
Dude ended up with a 4-4-10-2 build. His TEs were Ertz and Jordan, both with W14 byes.
Spikeweek's DraftIQ.
It helps track exposures, player combos, and correlation in real-time as you draft. It's $39.99/mo, but it's more designed for volume drafters playing big field tournaments.
Alrighty did two drafts with the simple system. Which one do you guys like better?
Draft 1 / Using RotoGrinders rankings / From 1.01
QB - Dak, Tua
RB - Warren, Moss, Ekeler, Chandler, LLoyd, Steele
WR - Lamb, Waddle, Devonta, Higgins, Cooper, Mooney, Dyami, Malik, Roman
TE - Ferguson, Jonnu, Sanders
Draft 2 / Using good ol' ADP / From 1.05
QB - Jayden, Trevor
RB - Bijan, Singletary, Chubb, Chandler, Gibson, Shipley
WR - London, Nabers, Terry, Ridley, Kirk, Legette, Quentin, LMC, Franklin
TE - Engram, Muth, Fant
I had a bad feeling about that Cowboy backfield. Cook may not be good but his signing tells me the other guy's aren't that good either. I have 12% Dowdle and 9% Zeke. I listen to way too much YouTube influencer hive mind takes. They all love Dowdle for some reason.
I actually have a bad feeling about many of the zero RB targets this year. I wouldn't doubt it if this was the year of the early RB.
The cowboys were always going to bring someone in imo. Dalvin is about as good as we can hope for bc he is terrible. If they brought in Perine, I’d be concerned
Alright, got my first draft (auction) tomorrow night. 2 drafts (standard snake) next week.
I have done pretty much zero research.
Leggo.
I just did my first Drafters draft. This sight is fantastic. The different positions are color coded. You can see how many drafts each opponent has been in. It nicely organizes your drafted players. You don't have click back and forth between the draft board and the players. It has a nice notification when your up both with sound and visually. UD is a distant second and DK is still back in the dial up ages.
I got buried by the WR avalanche. Now I know.
Perine to Chiefs is a HUGE relief for my shares of bengals

Yeah, Dalvin is great here. It's more about the fact that Royce Freeman and Malik Davis were cut. So it was Dowdle, Zeke, and miniature Deuce Vaughn.
Not to mention, it's not like you've been paying a ton for Zeke/Dowdle. They've been round 10 and lower all summer long.
Don't let your week 1 brain seep in mong 😃. Everything looks iffy for the contingent bet and 1b guys heading into w1. It'll shake up quickly.
I heard Kyren returned punts in a few games last year and still averaged 19 touches at RB. It does sound like they want to increase this roll now that they have a quality back up.
He did, and it's probably not a huge deal. But for a guy who has a bad history of foot issues, I want him touching the ball as little as possible outside of touches that count for RB scoring.

To each their own. I still think UD is far ahead of Drafters. I really hate how I can't separate the draft board from the player list on Drafters, since I primarily draft on desktop with multiple monitors. Players are color coded on UD too and very nicely organized.
I'd say the only perk that Drafters has over UD is the to see how many drafts each opponent has been in. But that's also only for the specific contest, since it tracks your entries sequentially by the number drafted.
Davis Mattek also breathes a huge sigh of relief.
And also for my 5-6% for Pacheco, most of which was at the 4/5 turn haha. Part of the Pacheco bull case was getting most of the passing work McKinnon vacated. Perine will likely be getting most of that.
