President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden

Right now, we need VP Biden, we need him to step down and drop out so Bernie sanders can save this country from this global crisis just like FDR.

A thread to debate the efficacy of a Joe Biden Presidency in the midst of a global pandemic and impending Great Recession/Depression.

Where is Joe Biden? Can he beat Trump and is he even trying to? What would a Joe Biden Presidency look like in these times? Where is he and why isn't he leading?

"Democrats are the enemy of the people" - just words bruh, stop getting butthurt.
"Conservatives are garbage" - bruh, that is so inappropriate and tonedeaf! No wonder everyone hates you guys.

The funniest part of this is this grievance that this is going to change literally anything

1. MAGA was already going to vote en masse, what are they gonna do now? Vote even harder?
2. While people who aren’t trump supporters will probably agree this was a pointless thing an angry old man said while angry that served no real purpose they aren’t gonna be offended by this assessment and undecideds aren’t going to sit there thinking ‘you know I had no idea who I was gonna vote for between harris and trump but now that biden called trump supporters garbage I must be their white knight now more than ever!!!!!’
3. Considering the MAGA posters in this forum as a baseline, I see no lies told

Let’s remember a comedian called Puerto Rico garbage as a joke Biden called 1/2 of Americans garbage

Let's not forget that Biden's wasn't wrong.

Funny and tragic that poeple resort to defending the repeated own goals by nonsense about it not mattering.

Every vote is already decided. No-one changes blah di blah di blah

Biden knows it was a mistake, so did Clinton. Stop making such basic mistakes would be a good idea

That's not my argument. My argument is "**** Trumpers and what they think".

Basically this

Obviously it was a mistake to say it. But I don’t give a ****, I agree with it. Luckily I’m not running for President or am the president

That's a fair argument.

Not one that helps in anyway but I get that's not the intention. Who cares if it all goes to hell as long as we get to say stuff

The idea that it all goes to hell cuz the guy who announced he defeated Medicare called a bunch of scumbags garbage people is a bit of a stretch

So? Biden was correct, the comedian was incorrect.

Btw even if the puerto rico comment was the same (and it wasn't: it referenced the island and not the population of the island, and trump voters are an order of magnitude more people than puerto ricans anyway) kind of mistake, the puerto rico comment was made by a comedian, the trump supporters are garbage comment was made by the sitting president of the USA.

It's impossible to logically even find any equivalence there given that, with Biden comments being zillions of times worse, but that has never been a problem for leftists, who display a lack of logical coherence permanently.

This is fine. Biden has been a comedian for a better part of the past decade.

I am starting to think Democrats may be thinking they would be better off with Joe as their candidate than the DEI replacement

That's true

There are lots of reasons but not many are as stupid, in our control and so easy to just not do.

They truly don't care who it is, so long as it isn't Trump.

I assume that being the man of principles that you are, you also expressed your outrage every time Trump said something wildly insulting about large groups of people when he was sitting president of the USA.

I expressed a lot of outrage when he mocked a disabled journalist for being disabled, i don't recall instances when he insulted large portions of american citizens though

Why is the target being American citizens the determining factor of whether an insult was or wasn't appropriate?

What’s the problem?

Because the only people an elected politician should ever care about at all, at least for me, are his constituents?

Does DEI have a hard or soft "R" here?

Derangement

That word doesn’t mean what you think it means

It's a syndrome

You're clearly confused and unable to think clearly or behave in a controlled way. Possibly due to mental illness.

Not really ….
But I guess it’s ok to call Porto Rico garbage tho, which Biden was referring to .

But hey …

Freedom to say bad stuff to others but don’t you there to do the same to me .
Typical republican hypocrisy

The comedian had nothing to do with Trump and his campaign. I wouldn't be surprised if this was all staged to make Trump look bad. The other side would pay good money to someone for these things.
