2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
My highest scoring UD team is 1,532.
Lamar, Baker
Achane, Mixon, Conner, Singletary, Brown
Chase, Evans, Terry, Keon, Dotson, Mooney, McMillan, Tez
Njoku, Otton, Gesicki
My highest scoring DK team is 1,733
AR, Baker
JT, Kamara, Brooks, Brown, Lloyd, Tracy
Chase, Nabers, Amari, Godwin, Downs, Legette, Big Mike, McMillan, E Moore
Njoku, Fant, Kraft
My highest scoring Drafters team is 1,690 and is currently 132/56,004 in the first $2 contest they ran.
Lamar, Goff, Deshaun
Barkley, Henry, Mixon, Charb, Foreman, CEH
ARSB, DK, BTJ, Lockett, Polk, Bateman, E Moore, Raymond
Njoku, Goedert, Mayer
****, I had no idea that Mondre, Swift, and BRob were star RBs.
I wouldn't exactly call Henry, Kmet or 34 year old Ertz quality TEs. They're servicable.
Caleb is the only QB we are discussing that actually has quality WRs. Terry is good at what he does, but he's a middle of the pack 1. And they have no one behind him.
No one is blaming Bo for having good coaching. Simply stating that it's a factor.
The funny thing about statistical analysis, at least advanced analysis beyond box score wa
However you would describe them, Mondre, Swift and Brob are all better than what Denver has. Same with the TE's. Don't forget Ekeler in Washington.
Didn’t play a lot of dk, but this is my best one there. Slightly more live than my best bbm haha
Hurts, Nix
Achane, C Brown, Najee, Dowdle, Tracy, Javonte
Chase, D Smith, Godwin, Keenan, Sutton, Lockett, Mims, Slayton, Ainias
Kittle, musgrave, Okonkwo
Kinda funny musgrave is in my best dk and ud Lu, especially bc I only have like 6%
entering Week 11

DEN: 79%, 1st
WAS: 68%, 3rd
CHI: 61%, 14th
NE: 49%, last
what Maye has been doing this season is quite remarkable. he very well might end up being the best of the bunch
I'm getting a 5-figure score (minimum) before the season is over.
12PPR - FAAB with only 30/200 left and have a 5-6 team currently in 7th place and about 60 points outside of the final playoff spot so consider this week a 'must win'
With byes I have no RB2 (Hall, Bigsby, Allen, Davis) this is pretty much the entire list of available players in the FantasyPros top 55 for the week. Obviously screwed here and to make matters worse my opponent only has BRob so they will be shopping this same **** list as me tonight

I'm in danger of missing the playoffs for only the second time in 29 years of playing fantasy football. I need a win this week and am facing a top team with all his players. I have Hall on bye. The trade deadline passed with the MNF game ending (hate this on Sleeper!). I tried to trade Hall at the deadline but couldn't.
I need a high-upside QB this week (in place of Stroud). The options are Nix @LV, Stafford vs Phi and ARich vs Det. League is 6 pts per passing TD. Nix has the best matchup and two 35+ point games in the last four, but the worst WRs. Stafford also has two 33+ point games in the past four, the better WRs and probably needs to pass a lot to stay with Phi. Detroit has been killing teams, but maybe ARich is a YOLO upside play. Anyone have an opinion on who is the higher upside play of the three?

Look at Geno if available. If not I think Nix and A Rich are better than Stafford. Phlly D line may give him problems
I missed the boat on fantasy this year bc I didn't find out about NFFC and FFPC until a few weeks into the season. I'd like to do about 10 season long 12 team leagues next year somewhere in the $150-$200 range. Auction preferable. Anyone have experience with leagues on these sites? Preference?

This is the first year I am not in a redraft league. The past 15 years I have played on NFFC. The first couple years I went to Vegas and did their primetime league. The last several years I did 3-5 $350 online championship league. The guy who runs it is Greg ambrose. He was very nice and helpful. I don't know if he is still there. I had a good experience with them. They have a lot of different price points. I did not play auction. I stopped doing redraft because I am traveling more and don't want to deal with managing a team. I also grew to despise the head to head luck factor.

Ignore this - got an unsolicited offer of Javonte Williams for Dalton Kincaid and jumped on it. Gotta figure his possible 40% of the Broncos backfield touches would put him at the top of this list anyway. Means I have to roll out Dissly for the rest of the year but 5 win teams don't have much options
That’s a good deal. Especially with Javonte’s matchup this week. He blows that list out of the water for this week. I’m hoping to score him off of waivers in my 8 man as my Breece replacement.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Dissly outscores Kincaid ROS.
Kincaid, what a flop. He’s likely just an average TE overall and was overdrafted in both IRL and fantasy, but the biggest problem is his style just didn’t fit Josh’s game or the scheme.
I can vouch for this. In one of my redraft leagues, I have the most points for. However, I am 5-6 and in 7th place, likely to miss the playoffs because I also have the most points scored against me. If I had the same schedule as the guy in 1st place, I'd be 9-2. Luck of the schedule and luck in regards to injuries is huge in redraft.

Consecutive years drafting Pitts, kincade, Bowers.
Bowers makes it all worth it.
Need some help, offered Nico Collins for Chase Brown and Terry McLauren.
RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB league. .25 ppr
RB: Jahmyr Gibbs, Kyren Williams, Chase Brown, Kareem Hunt, Rico Dowdle
WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Terry, Jayden Reed, Devonta Smith
My instinct was to say no because I really like Chase Brown ROS but his schedule isn't great.
edit: I accepted the trade partially because it opened up two roster spots for this week where I can add Blake Corum as a handcuff to Kyren Williams.
This trade is looking like a disaster. Chase Brown might end up being a top 3 RB ROS.
I'm not sure what I was thinking. I guess I wanted to get off the Terry McLauren train and stupidly gave up Brown to do so.
I'm not worried about Nico, he will be top 5 ROS. But RBs are worth so much more than WRs in < .5 PPR leagues.
10 team no-ppr flex - who do you start? leaning Javonte because of matchup but looking for thoughts
1. Javonte @ LV
2. Pollard @ Hou
3. Chubb v Pit
4. Xavier Worthy @ Car
5. Otten @ NYG
stats updated through Week 11
Pitts will be great next year when he goes in round 12. I sprinkled him in to diversify from a good amount of Kittle. I knew Kittle was the pick every time. One if these days I will follow my gut and dominate this game.
Bowers was my flag plant for the year. My only regret is that I slowed down on drafting him when he started moving up significantly from the 9th and 10th.
I only drafted Kinkade when I had Allen so I have very little.
Lets stop the Bo Nix slander. People get way too bogged down in statistics.
If we are gonna talk about dropped INT's lets also talk about dropped passes.
If we are gonna use the Bronco dominate offensive line as an excuse for how well Bo is doing don't forget his elite mobility and decision making contributes to the lines rating.
Bo's laser precision on his passes create the perfect opportunity for his receivers to score or gain extra yardage. I don't care how many air yards there were.
It's time to trust your eyes folks.
I look now just for the heck of it. A high percentage of my best teams are currently not in the money but have a great chance of winning big this year. My in the money teams are barely hanging on except for a few super teams. I will not be posting my teams here until I'm in the big money. I probably won't after because I don't like to brag.

The Broncos are middle of the pack with registered dropped passes this season at 15. That's basically 1 per game, even though you seem to think it's really bringing Bo down. The Browns are the highest at 27. The Eagles are the lowest at 4.
One singular set of statistics can bias in whatever direction you want, but when you start to evaluate them all cumulatively, the stats become meaningful.
For instance, using what Liga posted, we see the Broncos at the top of the league in pass protection ratings while Bo is near the bottom of QBs in EPA. That tells you that the line is likely a big reason for success and not necessarily Bo's "elite mobility, decision making, or laser precision." In other words, the line is really supporting his ability and opportunity to do these things.
Conversely, we see Joey B at the top of the QBs in EPA while his line grades near the bottom. That tells us that Joey B is really crushing it, in spite of his line woes.
Also, I'm not sure if you read the fine print, but EPA adjusts for a lot of the items that you seem to think aren't in metrics and are only in the eye test, like dropped passes, dropped ints, etc.
Anyone can post a highlight reel. I can go find one of Fields that makes him look like one of the best QBs in the league.

Non-PPR makes it tough, and Javonte's usage has been hit or miss. But I'd probably rank it Javonte > Pollard > Otton > Worthy > Chubb.
Pollard feels tricky this week. Spears could miss because of concussion protocol, but Houston's defense is stout.
Otton is also a bit tricky with Evans likely to make his return.
