2024 F1 Season.
Seeing as no one has started a new thread yet I thought I would.
Will Max win everything again?
Has Lewis made the right decision to switch?
When will Horner get sacked?
Is 24 races far too many?
Predictions for the season?
Mine is Perez will get replaced mid way through the season and Lando will actually finally win a race
Betting on racing is dumb...
Red Bull reportedly offered 20 million to Williams for Franco Colapinto.
According to Dutch journalist Jack Plooij, the team has grown tired of waiting for Sergio Pérez.
Colapinto is currently without a seat for next season.
Waiting for Sergio - to do what exactly. Sergio should have been out the door 3 years ago at least. At least Colapinto is Argentinian - surely Red bull can just market that to the Mexicans and they also get a good portion of the South American market.
Also hope there is an option in Ferrari's favour for Lewis' contract as he looks cooked. I mean it won't be the end of him as I think he should do one more year after that (maybe at Williams) but Ferrari seems a really big step up for him and Charles will wipe the floor with him.

Would that be like marketing a German to the Spanish to get the European market?
the one F1 race I must watch...F1 Las Vegas is about to start!
Weather conditions: It is unusually windy for this time of year but warm. Just stepped outside to my porch and it is:
65 degrees Fahrenheit
winds blowing about 12-15 MPH. unusually windy for this time of year.
Rory McIlroy sounds like a typical American...he's clearly lived here too long.
Can anyone pass over stream link please.
Vipleague was great, unable nowadays damn.
Trying over an hour to watch. Can't get anything going

verstappen is going to beat up on these helpless clowns again?
fwiw his driving makes me feel better about driving circles around the local idiots here to get anywhere.
idk what qualifies Terry Crews to be a F1 post-race interviewer....but here we are.
Great job George Russell and Lewis Hamilton to run first and second. But apparently running 5th (Verstappen) is better!
Curious if Lewis could’ve won even if he qualified 4-5, like in 2nd or 3rd row.
He did really well starting P10.
The streak continues.
Five drivers have won 3 titles in a row. All five went on to with a 4tn in a row, however only Schumacher went on to win 5 in a row.
So 2025 should be even closer than this year. Red Bull probably won’t be winning the Constructors for the foreseeable future. Checo again proving that he’s better on race day than in qualifying.

It’s the state of the current Hamilton though. Capable of driving at the very top still but can’t sustain it through an entire weekend or an entire season.
He’s slipped in terms of his overall consistency

I think that might have been a false story I originally quoted... But I FULLY support Colapinto going to a top tier team and I think despite the issues over the last two races (Brasil was an outlier), he has what it takes. that should be very clear to all that are in the know.
he's laughing at lulu
like I said, Brasil is an outlier because of the horrendous weather conditions that caught out MANY drivers...
Surely, you dont want to see driver damaging equipment, and that will limit your career... but I dont see any issues with what has happened prior.
he is trying very hard, and doing very well and quite a few drivers in the past have been shown to damage equipment until they learn circuits and calm down in the cockpit... every driver. lulu did it (lul even crashed out in the pit lane in china that would have seen him become world champion), vettel did it, leclerc did it... really, the only driver I can think of that didn't go thru many iterations of crashing was Schumacher... and he still crashed.
| REPORTS: Sergio Perez is demanding a $20 million payout from Red Bull if they part ways with him early.
What's so special about that article? A random anti max article by an English journalist on an English website twisting the words of an English driver.
One place grid penalty for Max. A new penalty they just invented. It was a dangerous situation though, but this inventing of new penalties is certainly going to trigger discussions
It was only dangerous because Russell decided to push with clear view of the three cars going slow. Of course this is suddenly a grid penalty and a penalty point while starting another formation lap with marshalls on the track is a $5000 fine. On top of that guess when was the last time someone got a penalty point for actual impeding a hot lap which is of course much more dangerous? If you guessed never happened then you would be correct. On top of that 17 drivers got noted for driving too slow during sprint qualifying. Of course nothing there either.
Actually it is dangerous because there are rules of conduct when not on a flying lap and Maximilian broke those rules in a critical part of the circuit that could, and nearly did, cause a substantial accident.
Those parts of circuits can be blind sections and/or high speed sections with a single line thru them.
