Does any limit hold em run here anymore? I haven't been back in a long time but a decade or so ago it seemed like there was 20/40+ every day.

i think i saw some 2/4/6 limit in September.

A decade is a long time in poker, and ages ago in Borgata poker back when it was still the king of poker in the northeast.

I have seen 40/80 limit hold em at Parx a few times a week.

I thought the mgm tier match cutoff was Sept 30. That's what website says. I assume it opens up again sometime next year. Unless the website is wrong.

Borgata is still kinda sorta separate from the rest of mlife but part of mlife. My friend tier matched a few weeks ago. Not sure what official policy is.

You’ll find 20/40 on the weekend usually. I do miss the days of 10/20 and 20/40 everyday of the week.

There's no regular 10/20 anymore?
Some of the 10/20 regs seemed as constant as the 2/4 regs, like they'd just appear in the chairs if a game started.

Based on my few visits over the last few months, as pocket said, 20-40 LHE is on the weekend, Fri/Sat/Sun. 10-20 sometimes goes early and ends early. 40-80 also sometimes goes. None of them are super solid any more and don't always run all night any more.

Possibly someone who plays regularly can give more info.

40-80 at parx goes tues, often wed, and sometimes fri.

I can’t recall the last time I saw 10/20 going. And I’m there almost every Friday night and Saturday

mgm is still matching Caesars for 3 months at a time.

also if you do have mgm gold it's good till 1/31.

Is it 3 months at a time or 3 months once a year? I tier matched my Caesars Elite (which I have through 1/2026 now) for 3 months in Las Vegas and then my MGM Gold (in Vegas they were tier matching Caesars Elite to Gold rather than Platinum for some reason) expired in October. Can I do it again in Borgata in December?

In theory you shouldn't be able to, but this is MGM so I'd say it's about 50/50

The BBJ just hit, A2 vs 67 spades on 345 spades flop.

Of course, everyone’s favorite POS “the professional” had the losing hand…. If you thought he was obnoxious before, you haven’t seen anything yet lol

It might be because I haven’t actually sat at a table with him in years, but I love that guy. Very funny from 100 feet away

A lot of people say that, especially when you’re not the one he’s being a loud obnoxious idiot towards. Not to mention he’s been kicked out of here multiple times for spitting on people and whatnot….

His act wore thin about 20 years ago. He's beyond obnoxious with the same tired material over and over again.

And I've never even played with him.

I'm happy for him!
Was is $100K?

I am playing Poker Tournament since The Borgata Opened. Never came across any such player !!

Losers' end should have been $80K (winner $40K, table splits $80K).

He's a donator, so expect some of that to find itself back into the poker economy.

He was giving it away at the blackjack tables today as I walked past on my way to the poker room today lol

Hes more entertaining then the grinders with backpacks and headphones on at least

Word around the room is that he actually wasn’t the losing hand, just a table share. Also hearing the losing hand player didn’t tip

Bravo says it was at $200,000 when it hit

I think so. Though if he intentionally spit on another player he should have been banned for life. And he's not nearly as obnoxious as some other regulars, or many of the drunks who play there overnight that we tolerate because they donate so much. His antics are part of the personality of the room.

There was some promo recently about adding to the jackpot. Maybe once they put that there it had to stay on until it hit. It doesn't grow past 50k anymore.

I never heard of him doing that, but the whole overbet into a pot and then start yelling yea thats him. Its a running joke that not everyone is a fan of, but entertaining. Like you said ive seen nastier behavior from regs there.

We was banned for spitting on a dealer and it was reversed. That happened

This new high hand promotion is just god awful.

Played approximately 35 hours over the last 3 days, heard plenty of complaints from players (and dealers).

Heard and saw more than 1 person this weekend fold suited connectors to small raises pre flop because “only winning 100 isn’t worth it”

Maybe it was just the tables I was at but the games seemed extremely nitty.

Here’s my 2 cents:

- Let the $100 intervals roll over, you are advertising that you’re paying out 17k per day, but you’re not because HH doesn’t get hit every 15 minutes, and the HH promotion is player funded anyway.
- Lower the minimum qualifying hand, make it any full house, still using both hole cards.
- This promotion is hurting the dealers. Less money won from promotions is less tips in their time box (assuming most people give 10%)

I was really enjoying playing here every weekend, I still love Borgata, the poker room, 8 handed, plenty of space at tables, comfortable seats. But until the HH promotion is more lucrative, I’ll spend my time in the Philly area.
